Steve could you possibly stick a catch can in this area? Looks like there is even an empty bolt hole in the firewall there that is wanting a bracket for a catch can in it. :)

You wouldn't really have to worry too much about the exhaust melting lines to it or anything either since you have everything wrapped and coated. Otherwise you could probably just run them along the firewall for peace of mind.

That's where I had it before the manifold swap, but the oil dipstick now occupies the area directly underneath it. (the heater coolant control valve sed to live there)

Why not pick up or make a small catch can that will resided in the same area, all in perfect Harmonie. It isn't like you need it to hold a qt of oil,......that is unless you have that much blow by :naughty::naughty:

Something like this is what I plan on running.. 3.5" X 3.5" X 6"

I coud see something like that working, as well. I'm likely going to run 2 catch cans in an effort to minimize the oil getting into the intake tract. A bit overkill- maybe, but it should work pretty well.
One there next to the turbo to catch the main stuff, then pass through to the fender and run through either a copper or AL pipe to try and cool the gases down, then into the 2nd can and into the intake. I just cleaned out my IC piping and it had a film of oil on it, where it had never had that without the vent. Catching a lot of water, just not much of that hot oil.

Two catch cans?

Or you can let me get you one in any color and it ACTUALLY does it's job. My fabricator makes them from scratch, trust me, they work better than the ones you get online.

2 normal catch cans= dual chamber :p Works much the same, only the way I would have it set up the 2nd can should be much cooler than the one in the engine bay, and should do its condensing job better.

Andy- where would it be mounted, how big, and how much? (pics, too) Might as well entertain all the options :)

Eh, you'd only see one of them, the other would be hidden right inside the fender next to the air filter with a short run or 5/8 to complete the system. I just don't want a lot of oil building up in the pipes- yuck. Who knows, I might just go back to a road draft tube if worse comes to worst.

Let me know if you like any of these.

I asked my welder if I could display these, he said no problem. He can put any fittings you want and the darn things really work.

Cool, I think the left center (red) one would works best, of course painted black. 2- 1/2" inlets on the right side, and 1- 5/8" outlet on the left I think would be the best setup. See how much that would be and what details he would want.

Took a picture of my car with the 18's on it after the meet tonight- it turned out to be one of the only pictures that turned out decent out of all the 30-40 I took... Guess this mini dslr just isn't up to the task of night shots :'(

So the left center one in red but painted black. 2.5" inlets on the right side and 1 5/8" outlets on the left.

One question, how are you looking at the catch can? From the front of the car or back? It would make a difference since that would change which is the left side and right side.

Let me know, I am going by him later today.
