Good job guys. With the warmer weather forecast this week. You will be able to drive her for a couple of days!! Winters not far off though. I went north yesterday and there was 3+ inches of snow on the ground.

It's right here- it took a while for it to get converted, then I wanted to make it nice looking. This was the very, very first (ever) attempt to start this car. The only thing I did was prme the oil system before install by running the oil pump driveshaft with a drill.

No leaks were observed after startup, which was crazy, but I found one today (heater core supply clamp not tight enough), so if that's the worst leak I have I will be so happy! Oh, and the AFM is uber-dead. MAP and IAT sensors on order!

I made a pass on a local street tonight after I did the break-in drive, check my youtube vids. I even had to re-engineer the bov to make it work right! Gotta love knockoffs... Anyways, I cracked open the MAF electronics and found a broken connection, so I soldered a patch wire onto it and I'm going to see if it runs better so I can drive it to work tomorrow. I'm really loving having boost again, too.

Woot! Just in time for winter storage!

JK man - this is awesome that the car is running, this winter should be a great time for some finish touches and getting it on the road all nice and purdy like.

Nah, I never need fender covers- I don't drop stuff, I just lose whatever I'm looking for.
On the other hand, I would recommend some kevlar fender covers for Sean. :icon_razz j/k

Changed the oil after the first 50 miles tonight, not too bad from other rebuilds I've done in the past! Picking up a bigger oil cooler form a co-worker tomorrow and I'll throw the stock oil cooler in as the PS fluid cooler.

So I've been running the car the last couple days, but the bad AFM driveability is just crap. In light of this, I ordered some stuff from AEM. A Wideband AFR sytem, MAP sensor, and an IAT sensor. I pulled the factory ECU and re-wired my original harness for sequential fuel injection, a Toyota DH61 ignitor (gets rid of multiplex and related misfires), the MAP and IAT sensors, and I also installed my new hood struts! Hopefully tomorrow we will get a base calibration in and get it to run with the AEM computer!
Whew! I am so tired; I've been wiring for 6 hours, now...

The AEM is alive!

Video might be up later if we don't blow the engine.

Running sequential injection, and the DH61 ignitor.

Just be careful and get it tuned by a professional asap! It'll be great to see how well the car can run.

Got it dialed in pretty good tonight, generally running rich across the board, but all within reason. Response is vastly improved, boost comes on well, and only a couple rich-AFR related stumbles left to sort out!

Also, got raced by an Eclipse (license plate WAPSHHH?) and a civic sedan, beat them both! Good vibes from the Supra!

I love this car more and more every time I drive it!

So what are Steve and I not good enough tuners? lol, was awesome my base calibration I made last night fired up first attempt. Although having forgot the 3 rear injectors to be plugged in it did run so swell, the way off initial timing didn't help either.
But within the first 20 minutes or so we had the car driveable, but man what a pain in the ass the stepper motor is to control idle perfectly.

Right on man! I think one more evening of street tuning and we can work out all the small hickups that are still there.
Although I will admit the tune that is on there now is working very well.

Correct - no offense :icon_razz

Its allot easier than meets the eye once you figure shit out. The main thing we were working on was getting a good driving tune without hickups for normal everyday type of driving.
