Whoo! nice and clean just the way I like things. Now just to keep it that way once in the sup is the next challenge.

Engine's mostly done, only a couple little things left to finish up and it's bolt-in time!

So, if you ever wondered how hard it is to get a 7m longblock up a narrow flight of stairs, I would strongly suggest you NEVER, EVER try it. That said, it took 4 strong guys to muscle that out thing into the garage. And for the record, I'm never building an engine in a non-walkout basement again. Now I get to kick into high gear and assemble my drivetrain this week, possibly installing it this weekend! Sweet!

Looking good. Sean told me you are driving up tomorrow. Perhaps if we get lucky my wife will cook up some Brazilian food. I hear the weather is warming up on Friday, mike take the Supra for one last run before jack stands and pulling off the turbo.

Rob,
I thought you told me you had put in weight and got a hair cut!!!

Steve, thanks for checking the coils on the 2jz last night. It is nice to have an official Toyota mechanic in the "family" I know there is a lot you can teach us. If you run across a link to the oil cooling set up we talked about, please send her my way.

I am also going to want to get you back up here when I need the news cams and springs dropped in.

Let me know if you ever need to use the hosit.

Finally!!! The engine is fully assembed and I am getting my engine lift back tomorrow, the drivetrain should be together shortly after and I plan on installing it all on Saturday! I actually have a chance of driving my Supra this year!

Side note: If anyone has some RC 550 or 720 injectors for sale, I will be in the market fairly soon.

Never had them :(

You work at toyota, see how much a new set would cost. I wouldn't mind replacing my 20 year old ones with a new clean set/

front one - 17167-42040

Rear one - 17168-42030

New clean turbo next to old bad looking heat shields = looks like fail.

A new set runs about $120 (list price), but I can probably get them for about ~80. If anyone wants to help install the engine tomorrow, you're more than welcome! (You can bring any heatshields you don't want, too ;) )

If you can, get the heat shields ceramic coated, then they will never look bad, and its a functional not just bling mod too

IT RUNS! My Supra runs!
Video is uploading right now, will link when up! Pops a code 31 (bad AFM) right away, so the AEM speed-density conversion is coming sooner than originally planned. No worries though; I have a running Supra!!!!

Props to Sean for all the help- now we need to get your car together!

Short video, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0CaBylw4Jlc
First start vid is huge and is going to take forever to load. Enjoy this one while we all wait!

It was great to get it all done in one night. Now all we need is the sensors and I will come down for another day and get the AEM in and running.

Oh and my volvo stayed perfect temp all the way home.
