Steve,
Looking good. I agree with Emilio. Take it easy on her this fall and get Shane at DB to fine tune it in late March. Having it tuned by a guy who does tuning for a living is essential. At least you can drive it there. I am happy your up and running. Getting it tuned professionally helps ensure all those hard earned dollars are not wasted on a blown engine, Just my 2 cents.

Not running lean and not detonating= shit is not going to blow up.

But now the base is all setup and driveable so a dyno tune will cost much much less.

Sean,
Of course you are correct. This is one of those times that all those year of tuning experience are worth every penny.
In the spring, I will want to do the same thing. Have her running and then let Shane tweak that Billet 67. I want her to have as few of hick ups as possible.

Hey, Christmas came early this year when I was cleaning out the New Old Stock shelves in parts! I scored a BRAND NEW Toyota Radio/Tape/CD player for uber cheap! Been on the shelf for 6 years! Don't know if it works, but if it doesn't I'm not out any cash. However, if it does, I got a freakin sweet stereo for next to nothing! WOOT!

Oh yeah, the car still runs, but it's cold and snowy outside and I don't want to add to the rust I already have. But anyways, It's sitting happily in the garage waiting for new parts!

Alrighty then, It's time for an update...kinda
The radio went in well and I think it looks great. Sounds good, and it even brought my passenger rear speaker back to life!

Just got my front facing intake manifold in the mail (Thanks Jesse!) and it looks great! It's not finished, but that's a good thing, because it lets me choose where everything goes. I also got a polished fuel rail from Funky_monkey58, complete with 2 AN type fittings to try to get me hooked on them, and they do look nice...
So the car hasn't moved since snow fell, but things will be getting done soon, here. I'm going to order a new fuel pump (mk4 TT denso) and find some 680/720 injectors first, and then get some extra stuff to go with them (afpr, braided fuel lines, etc). Then I'm going to have to make up my mind on the turbo and get to ordering that too. Here's some new pictures!

Steve,
It's all good. Why not 1200cc injectors and e-85? It's pump gas here in MN. It wouldn't take much more to make that 7m over 500 rwhp.

Thanks for the help on the 2jz. I appreciate and respect your knowledge. There is nothing like the sound of a 2jz with cams in her! She sounded good before now she sounds bad ass!!

My car has been looking kinda sad lately, but I'm finally getting the parts I need now! Fuel pump will be ordered soon, as well as the complete oiling system. Sean should be about done welding my manifold together, so then that can go on and I can figure out my throttle linkage. But other than, that not too much happening...

Steve,
Are those injectors bigger than the 550's you talked about? Give Sean a kick in the butt to get your manifold welded up. I know he was working on one the other night. Not sure if it was yours or not. Spring is right around the corner. Going to be a very fun summer.

They're 720cc greddy injectors. Now all I need is a mk4 TT fuel pump, new fuel filter, DM FPD bypass hose, AFPR, and related hoses to make my fuel system complete. lol I am going to run lines from the sender in preperation for a secondary booster pump if I go e-85 in the future, though.
But right now I'm focusing on the oil system and the turbo. Standard issue 7M full flow w/ t-stat system shaping up to go in(just like you, Rob! :p )

And the building resumes... Got my oil system in today!

Side note: I believe the canton adapter was mis-boxed from the factory, as the threads are too big- see pictures, Pic 1 has the NA oil filter stud upside-down, pic 2 has it right side up! ()% sure this is not 3/4-16, rather, I think it's 13/16-16 :(

I come from a land down under
They use the same body for a lot of applications Steve just changing the bolt (my LSx one is identical)

You might have been sent the wrong one or someone mispacked it at the factory.

New canton adapter is on its way, and I got a new toy from work today!

Not many will know what this is, but it's really a full-function Toyota Scan tool adapter. I will never again have to wait for a Techstream scan tool ever again! Only the Masters got them, so I'm feeling better about getting all those ASE's out of the way...

Steve, it sure looks pretty. I am wanting to do the same on mine. Any advantage to the oil coolers with fans?

Dan
The only real advance is with fans you will have better cooling from 0-20 (or so) MPH. Other wise at speeds above town driving you will get more CFM's with air flowing threw it naturally. That is unless you mount the cooler in a place that doesn't get air flow. IIRC IJ used fans on his cooler but his MoTeC turned them off at a certain speed.

I see your part of the "order the Canton adapter twice " too.
