Nice to see it going back quick Brent! Maybe next meet, it will be running?

Duane

Im hoping to have it running by the end of Deceber, but it probably will have some issues so sometime in January it will be finished.
My roommates have a bet going on when I will finish and they say January 22d but I'm hoping fo earlier :biglaugh:

Sorry I haven'y updated in a while, I spent last weekend at Sun Peaks snowboarding (I needed some time away lol).

I've had to move the supra out of the garage so that my roommate can put his truck in to paint and winterize it :: angry ::
I walked outside tonight saw frost on her and almost had tears in my eyes :icon_razz

I am getting an engine stand tomorow so I will be taking the oil pan off and possibly buying a new oil pump. I will most likely be replacing the crank bearings when this happens too.

I am still waiting for my MHG, ARPs, and timing belt to get here and I just bought an Apex'i SAFC-II, Lexus AFM and K&N adaptor kit for the car(Thankyou Arizzle) that should be here next week. All I need now is a clutch/pressure plate/flywheel, my turbo rebuild kit, and a few random hoses and she will be running :icon_bigg

Sun Peaks sucked lol it was too friggin cold and the whole hill was ice haha

I was told by the people at ACT that if I buy just the 6puck clutch disc it will work with the stock pressure plate and hold fine so I might do that.

I got the block up on the engine stand finally. Pulled off the oil pan, took out the oil pump, got the pistons out and I might be ordering a new set of pistons and rings from Driftmotion tomorow. I will be buying some new bearings after xmas probably and getting the block decked. Just have to get my crank pulley off and the block will be ready to bring the the machine shop :icon_bigg

I phoned realstreetperformance on friday and I should be getting my MHG, ARPs, and timing belt this week.

I don't have any pics right now but I'll try to get some up tomorow.

Well I was going to get just rings but driftmotion only wants 120 for a set of pistons, rings, and pins.

What bearing are they measuring??

damn! i shouldve just got that set, they also have a .20 over for 120 also!

well there going to measure the bears and im going to be looking for scoring also. just tell them your going to replace the bearings and tell them to measure what size you would need. might as well change them since its going to be all part, also it had a BHG before so it'll be safer.

Yeah lol I was just looking around on driftmotion for misc. parts and I saw the pistons category and saw those, I was like no friggin way and emailed them to check if there was a typo haha

I already have all the rod bearings out... they are all together with the correct rods and in the correct spots and I almost have the crank out also.

Should I just bring the rods/old bearings/crank with me to the machine shop for them to measure?

Hey Brent, awesome bud with the progress. You still think it will be done by Jan?

Duane

Due to money issues... I dont think it will be done as soon as I had hoped

Being on E.I and having to pay rent/bills doesnt leave me much for my supra so I am job searching right now lol
