Thanks Cade, but I've already checked them and they look fine. At least they do from the outside. They look brand new.
I finally got the cams degreed today with some help from Brian. It was very easy to do once I got the exhaust cam on the exhaust side and the intake cam on the intake side...........:icon_redf
The intake cam has a big "E" stamped into it, and I thought it meant exhaust, but it wasn't until I noticed the cam sensors on the wrong cam that I new I had messed up. Luckily I found it before I hid it under my newly polished valve covers.
Here are a couple pictures I took today. No I don't own a garage, so I have to do most of my work outside on gravel and dirt. If I didn't own a supra, I'd have one hell of a garage..........:biglaugh:
I got the cams degreed and I also got the motor in the engine bay without scratching up my new paint job. Unfortunately my cams seem weird to me. They ended up with the exhaust retarded to 10degrees, and the intake retarded to five degrees. I don't know what to say other than I checked them twice before I quit, and that's exactly what I came up with. I know last time my exhaust was retarded to 8degrees, and my intake was advanced four degrees, and that was adjusting them on the dyno. Here's a picture of the engine in, but I've still got a lot to do.
