Thanks guys.

John, the istructions helped, but it was very very hard to degree them with them reversed. That's why I was having such a huge problem. Once they were swapped, it was easy and all the instructions made perfect sense. Thanks for the help.

I'm really hoping to get everything done tomorrow afternoon and get it cranked. I still want to download the stock 1jz timing map and then adjust it as need be. I'm pretty sure Rakkassan said that it was uploaded on supraforums, so I'll go and find it.

Does the retarded cams sound bad to anyone else but me? I'm not saying they're wrong, but I didn't think you would have both the intake and exhaust retarded. I thought one was suppose to be retarded and the other advanced, but hopefully this thinking is wrong.

Jay - you may not be able to tell if your turbine was damaged by looking at it from the outside.

I just found out today that my turbine is jacked. It looks like a piece of slag or something came loose. I thought I got it all off before the install but I guess not..... Time to find a new turbine wheel.

Where it was damaged wasnt really visible until I took off the exhaust housing. It wouldnt hurt for you to check especially since you were missing parts of your pistons..........

I'll check it tomorrow, but now I'm scared it's going to be fubar'd. I've had two months to get it fixed, and now that I'm ready to crank it, I'll have to send my turbo off to be repair'd............damnit man. Hopefully I'll get lucky, but I had four pieces of pistons go somewhere, and it wasn't in the bottom of the pan.......so I'm pretty sure I'm screw'd

I'll post up the results tomorrow.

well, hopefully you will be ok.

The last thing you want to do is run the turbo with an unbalanced wheel. And it will be unbalanced if its damaged.

You need to have slab poured just so you can work on your Supras. My last house just had a gravel driveway and it sucked pulling the engine out of my GT-S. I towed the car to my dads shop the put the motor back in. Wasn't going to go through that again.

I know you are very anxious, and we are too, but please please please be patient and make sure that turbo is ok first. We need this car back on the road for good that way you can live up to your username.

The turbo looked great. I knew God loved me, and that's just one of the many ways he shows me. I was so scared it was going to be fubar'd, and I really didn't feel like stealing Vonda's turbo from her............:biglaugh:

Thanks for the comments guys, but it isn't running yet. I have just about everything hooked up. My redline mt90 just got here so I'm going to go install it and start putting the insides back together.
I downloaded the stock 1jz timing map this morning and adjusted it to make it a lot smoother. I'm going to upload it onto the stinger and hope she cranks up.
I've still got to hook up the hydrofan reservoir and install some new sparkplugs and coilpacks and it will be ready to fire up. I'm hoping to get it fired up before my softball game tonight. I haven't missed a game, but I really want to drive this thing tonight somehow.

I think you'll be happy with that timing map Jay. I was. If you have any question about it, I uploaded it in the Stinger thread in the standalone thread. Download it and compare it to what you have.

Mark, I did the timing map like it was on the website, but I smooth'd mine up a lot. There were a lot of peaks and valleys in there that looked like they were there for no reason. Like it would go 17, 17, 14, 17...........so I would change the 14 to a 17, or whatever it happened to be. I kept the peak numbers and so forth, but I just made it look a lot smoother. I will try and upload what I ended up with.

Today, I got the car just about finished. I still have to have some help though. I have to bleed just about everything on the car. I replaced the powersteering rack, so I have to bleed it. I have to bleed my brakes because two of my brake lines are undone. I have to bleed my slave cylider also. Tomorrow is golf day, so I won't get anything done, but hopefully when I get home, I can tighten everything up and try to start it. I also have a massive leak around my waterneck that I've got to figure out. I couldn't see why it was leaking, but it was severely even though the car wasn't cranked.

I'm a horrible scratch golfer Eric. I'm suppose to play pretty good, but I've lost me mojo. I really just go play golf so I can gamble, and then play poker afterwards.

I used RTV on the waterneck, so I don't know what it is that's leaking. I'll be able to tell more about it tomorrow when I get home. Hopefully it won't be dark yet.

The guys I play with play speed golf. We play in a group of six in about three and a half hours. It's not nearly as relaxing as it used to be.
