not to argue with what Aaron said, but our BOV's look to be the same as the 2nd gen MR2. The MR2 BOV has a check valve and dual ports, and it a push type valve so it will have no problem holding any kind of boost pressure. The check valve was put there so the valve would stay closed easier when in vacuum. HKS came out with a similar system with their older super BOV with electronically activated check valve. They later got sued by Toyota.

HOWEVER, I've never seen the 1JZ piece in person, so I'm sure Aaron is correct...

Now that I think about it, I was wrong. :3d_frown: :biglaugh:
I was thinking about ones that come with the aftermarket stuff.

I am making some progress

I was out there today just getting the last few things ready to pull the engine from the clip.

still need to disconect the PS pump from the Rack and dissconect the fuel lines and that junk. Then it will just be the engine mounts and the cross brace for the trany. I think......I Hope

Also i was organizing all the nut bolts screws that i have been pulling off the car, Zip-lock bags and a sharpie our a life saver.

I picked up some het shrink wire rap and some wire conector tubes, as well as a sodering tool and some soder. Just forgot to buy some flux to help the situation.

I will start to attempt the wiring this week. Have to go over everything again. just to make sure i don't cut the wrong plug from the wrong harness LOL

My Clip didn't come with a Diffy. So i think the 4 Shocks was there way of making up for it.

I am still waiting on the place i bought the clip from to give me word on when i will get the Map Sensor :icon_evil

I am still debating with myself if i will put the charcol can back in, well the smaller one from the 1JZ clip.

who in canada did you go to fir the BOV?

do they also sell Defi stuff?
I went to RCTS here in Calgary (one of the few HKS dealers in Canada). http://www.monsterhorsepower.com/

Not sure if they sell Defi stuff. What are you looking for? If you're looking for gauges, I would consider the HKS gauges. I was looking for Defi gauges, but they showed me their HKS gauges, and I was very impressed.

I'm (hopefully) drilling the hole tomorrow, if not Wednesday. I'll take pics & post them. The "hole" has been a mystery for too long....

If you choose to extend the harness in order to go through the stock location, the knock sensors would have to be rewired because of the added length. If you make the new hole, the stock KS wires would be fine...

One thing has bothered me about making a new hole, that's what to do with the stock hole. I'm going to see if I can close it up with expandable foam, & then use a jack saw to cut it flush with the fire wall. Anybody else have a better idea?

Take the boot off the old 7m harness and zip-tie the hole closed where the wires used to go through, then pop it back in the hole. If you have to cut a slit in the boot to get it off just put the slit at the top, and if you are really worried you could put some silicone on it.

Thanks Aaron, great idea.

Is it just me, or is the sequence of the posts screwed up tonight?

I found a place with some good prices on the Defi Stuff and a few other little things.

I like the Greddy Gauges and the some of the HKS Ones. I was looking at the Defi BF series

Edit : i wanted to get some electronic gauges

Problem is greddy wants to much for theres and it's unclear if they have a series of gauges that work like the Defi BF's . I am not sure about HKS I would need to see some dealer prices. It looks like HKS does with the RS DB and Chrono Gauges

I found the Defi control unit for $99 USD and the boost gauge for $209 USD

Someone please direct me on where to go. I was planning on making my Purchase Today

No charcoal canister here... I just have a hose going into the fenderwell. Works fine.

So you just left the hose open into the fender. you did not block it off. Like some people have done for the 7M CC.

Will it matter if i block it off. Or is it better to leave it run to the inside of the Fender

Well for an Update today

The engine is ready to come out. I am just waiting on my Leveler Might have to attempt it without and just get my hands on a heavy chain. The Engine hoist is not mine.

I am going to try and attempt the wiring tomorrow. I think i have it figured out usinging the Connectors from the 1JZ Clip to integrate into my MA71 Let all hope i don't screw this up LOL.....

My Map Sensor is supposed to be on it's way. I am happy to report. We will see when it get here though.

I bought my boost gauge today
It should be here Friday
got the HKS RS DB series the price was not to bad either.
bought it from RCTS hehehe Reg Riemer
The Gauge $260 CAD
The controller $130 CAD

I also spoke with Jeff down at Champion Toyota. \
-Engine gasket set $166.50 USD
-Turbo gasket Set $76.00 USD
- PCV Valve from a 94 Turbo $3.57 USD
- 2JZ Throtle cable - since i heard this is the only way to go $42.25 USD

I just need to get the Catch can and Clutch line.

I think that will be all the parts i need

Just as a update
I have bought all that plus this stuff from Driftmotion - Aaron really a great guy. Buy your stuff from him. when ever you can
-Greddy timing belt $115.00 USD
-oil pressure sensor relocater $20.00 USD
-PS line and Banjo bolt $100.00 USD

Some other thing i picked up for myself
- compression tester since i still did not have one. $26 CAD
- Engine Stand $79 CAD
- Some more Jack Stands - $30 CAD
- Cold/Heat soldering tool - looks cheesy but iv'e been told it works fine. $20 CAD
- some Shrink tubing $24 CAD
- Leveler $42 CAD

Other then that you can get pretty much all of this done with a basic socket set and a few little extras like some extentions and a swivel joint.

I am going to try and have more pictures done soon. it tough to be doing all this and then stop to document it for everyone LOL. you get into a grove and just don't want to stop
