And i forgot to mention that The guy that worked on my ECU had to replace a ton of Capacitors Just out of need and i had the rest done out of preventative maintenance

There was a total of aprox two dozen changed.

here are the different types of Capacitors that are in there

There are basically three types of capacitors here.
1 Mylar, These are the metal can type = These give the highest fail
rate. These are polarity sensitive
2 Ceramic. These are the little ones that are square or round flat
type. these give the middle fail rate
3 Tantalum. Those are the ones that look like a tear drop and have a
gold or silver dot on the top. gold=5% tol. silevr = 10% tol. These only fail if you see they have exploded. these are also polarity sensitive

Tantalum capaciators are sensitive to low temperature. In -55C they will explode just by turning on the engine key. That is why they are normally made to +55C and -75C.

I went :biglaugh: when you turned the camera outside! I guess you can't drive it with 3 ft of snow in your driveway. It sounds great, I wish you could drive it!

The metal can capacitors are electrolytic, those are the ones that are prone to failure. Mylar caps are usually fairly high quality.

The Stuff about the Capacitors is just what the guy told me. He has a crazy amount of years and experience. You should see my board, He Re solder all sorts of stuff to fix it up and clean it up. Had this cool Crazy Expensive De-Soldering Machine with a Vacuum thing on it.

I am going nuts waiting for the snow to melt, i check the weather every day hoping it will warm up faster and even twice a day sometimes hoping the forecast has changed :biglaugh:

There are just a few small things i need to get now, Like the IC Pipes but i need to wait while i start my new job. Also a Lotek A-Pilar Gauge Pod. Not to mention a new alternator from Lexus. But thats about all the little things i know of or can think of right now :)

MY CAR IS FINALLY OUT AND ON THE ROAD

There are a few minor problems though

I think the bolt from the rear turbo is rubbing my Firewall. Makes allot of extra noise in the car.

I had the same issue again with the low voltage at idle and also had the car stall on me twice when i came to a stop ????? then afterwards it was fine. The voltage did drop when it stalled both times. After that the idle and voltage were both fine.

I am not used to my clutch anymore :( i had trouble making my car move smoothly :( from a stand still

the bolt on my rear turbo's hit my fire wall, took it 1 month and a whole lot of donuts to finally dent the firewall itself and now my car dont' shake when i move from a dead stop
