2jz oil filter works

check/change the clutch while the engine's out

so my guess would be that a oil filter relocation kit for the 2JZ would work as well.

I know dumb questions. But i rather ask dumb and stupid questions then go on asumptions just to find out i screwed up for no reason

I'm using toyota 7mgte filters on mine. Why do you need a relocation kit? It's EASY to replace the filter on a 1jz.

is it... looking at it, it did not look easy to me. i was thinking how the hell do you get your hand up there with the steering colum and everything else around there.

You don't... you reach down from the top. It's in plain view and enough room you can just grab the filter with your hand and loosen it.

Already got mine coming, but thanks for reminding Josh. I am starting a 1jz swap also, so I've been watching a couple of these threads.................lol

Are any of you replacing your injectors with something bigger, or are you staying stock? I would like to make between 350-400 rwhp. I've already got a 255 fuel pump installed in my car now, so thought I might get some bigger injectors. What do you guys think about that? Good idea or not really necessary? Thanks.

I'm trying to source some JDM 2J 440's. I'm trying to get at least 350rwhp, so that would push the duty cycle way up on the stock injectors. I have a fuel pump & Emanage with timing & injector control, so the only other item I need to get is a AFPR (from Aaron since he makes a kit).

My plans are similar. I have the safcII to control the fuel with. I plan on going single turobo as soon as the manifold is ready to buy. I am also searching for some bigger injectors. I thought I needed 550's, but if 440's will work then that's what I'll try finding.................thanks, Jay

i didn't have a chance to post the other day but i think the 1JZ is ready to come out of the clip very soon. just need to disconect the hydro fand a PS lines. Everything else is disconected.

I had a quick look at the Fuse box, and well it made me dizzy lol.

I am not sure what people do about the temp sensor if the just strip it out and run ther eown wires or if they pull all that wiring as well and use everything from in the clip.

As it was in taking out the wiring harness. i found this under the carpet on the passenger side. I have no clue what it is and what it was for or does.

It Says bosch on it with this number 0-335-411-027

i have no clue what it is do you?

There were two wiring harnes ad-ons to rewire things they way you want or to tap into lines without cutting up your harness. very interesting stuff.

well here are the pictures

remove the temp sensor and clean it off. My had a little mountain of dirt on it... take a picture of yours...

Gap your plugs to .026.

Check for cracks in your Coil packs. Pull the little spring out and make they longer/stiffer. Apply Cramolin contact enhancer and replace springs. Also use the contact enhancer on ALL of your plugs.

Are you going to extend the harness or run it through the driver's side?
