Tick tock, tick tock....
Waiting on my machinist to bore & hone the block, and balance the new pistons to my rods, In the meantime I'll finish shimming up the head, and soon enough I'll be back on track with more pictures!

I must have a turbocharged car by summer!!!

I'm out of the country, in Israel atm. But i'll be back in 2 days
I'm actually surprised I haven't gotten a voicemail from my machinist yet saying my block is ready, I'll bug him once he gets back, then things will be in full motion again! That is, until i find more toyota parts I'll need to order / wait on :icon_mad:

I'll give you a call, but I'm already waist-deep in things that I need to take care of when I get back, plus work, plus family time for the holiday, I'm already overwhelmed and I'm not even back to take care of things yet! And I also have my 21'st birthday (and 2 friends 21'sts as well) to celebrate, since i was gone for it! I really don't think I'll have any time off within the next 2 weeks :icon_conf

Got my block back, yaay!
So the questions ensue yet again...

Regarding Wiseco pistons / rings
I have the .040 over pistons, should I follow wisecos instructions for ring gap, of .004" per 1" of bore? That would leave me at 0.0132" So far I've only stuck one ring down in the cylinder and it was just under .016" (abit of a squeeze for the feeler guage) Does this mean my machinist failed to achieve the .0025" clearance i asked for?

Also, stupid question: I'm unsure which ring goes ontop! The chrome one, or the black one?

Not too hard usually, but i do plan on going to the drag strip every once in awhile, and have a long term goal of about 650 rwhp peak, if i can do so reliably! I'll only occasionally take it to redline :) I'm gonna go check the other rings and see what my gaps are looking like

Also, if anyone has any tips, I've been struggling with the sprio-lox, they're hurting my fingers lol, and I'm trying my best not to scratch the coating on the pistons

Thanks JaV!

So it's looking like all my second rings are .016" gap, and all the top rings are .013" gap

Should i just leave them as Is? or open up the top's to about .014?
I'm just splittin hairs here :biglaugh:

Btw, how is it that no search results appear for either "ring gap" or "end gap"?

I would like to express that wiseco is a retarded company for using these crappy spirolox!!!!

I'm getting so freaking pissed off, haven't managed to get a single one of these clips in! I have no idea how justin got to the point of tapping it in with a socket, these clips are too big and impossible to compress just to get it in place.

I'm about ready to kill someone with these f*&@*#ing clips

I think this is the sign I'm done working for the day
