Thanks guy's :)

It really is though, isn't it Duane!
I just wish my paint turned out half as nice (specifically, as even and completely perfect) as yours! Who did your paint anyways? Was it you or Ron? I'm under the impression you didn't take it to a paint shop, I don't know where I got that idea from though I could be making it up :biglaugh:

Thanks bud.
No many really know how much work it really takes to paint an engine. (if you do it right) Me nor Ron did the bay paint. We stripped it down then towed it to a (side shop) guy that does full restorations on hot rods. You have both advantages and disadvantages by bringing it to a guy like this. All I hear is, well it sure would be nice to do this and would be cleaner and then you hear it over and over and the bill more than triples the price for what you originally planned. LOL I am not complaining really as I am happy with what the outcome was.I had all holes welded and paint was stripped to bare metal. I went stock color, nothing fancy like you. ;) You know the flake will be a pita to match if you decide to touch it up. :aigo:

Is your car gonna be ready soon or what?

JaV, Quiet you ;)

Duane, I think it was worth whatever you paid for it :) Especially with your OCD-Like meticulous attention to detail, it matches you well :biglaugh:

Oh, and my paint isn't too fancy, it's still a stock color :)
206, Toyota / Lexus, it was only 89-90 supras

No kidding about all the angles Buckshot! There are definitely some spots I didn't hit completely even, and then with the clear, I now understand why my paint guy said it would be harder than the base coat!

I don't have a paint booth obviously, lots of plastic, and only 2 500 watt halogens, in less than ideal positions, i was painting until about 11:00 lol

Unmasking is done, starting to put small things back on, everything's gotta be cleaned before reassembly though! Gotta work tonight, but will make progress tomorrow. Forgot about some small fasteners and bolts while i was painting, I'll sand blast them, and maybe hit them with some rattle can black, I almost don't want to put the fenders back on, they look so ugly lol, can't wait until the outside of the car will match :D

Thanks DK :)

JaV, that's enough outta you ;)

I'm working on it, just been waiting on some goods from my good pal at vancouver toyota to get my parts in, in the mean time i've been stripping and painting lots of parts, even bolts... sometimes I wonder if I've lost my mind, spending hours sanding and painting a bunch of bolts and random brackets that noone will ever see :biglaugh:

wa.
There has to be a good percentage of users on this forum w/ OCD because i know what your talking about w/ the intense cleaning that no one will see.

Keep it coming.

You said 3 MONTHS!!!.

lol Luis, don't hold me to the 3 months, as much as I hope and think I can do it, I've said 3 months for probably more than a year now :biglaugh:

Buckshot, i exaggerated the sanding a little bit, I have a paint stripper pad, and a wire weel, hand sanding all the individual bolts would be even more insane than this is!!
