so no one has any more mod lists that got them or helped get them in the 11 second range? lol i expected a lot more

not a lot of 11 second or faster supras on here because:

a) they dont care to drag race

b) they have 11 second capable car but not the tires or driver for it

c) they dont have the power to run that quick

most people on here have 17-18" rims with small sidewall tires and on stiff lowered suspension. neither of those lend to quick et's unless its a dialed in coil over setup or you are making gobs of hp on sticky tires.

if you are serious about drag racing, remove or disconnect the front sway bar. it will improve weight transfer and traction.

You shouldn't "expect" anything. Post #34 gave you a nice mods list, and plenty of others have told you the power you need and other helpful hints to get you there. No one should have to "spoon feed" you a recipe for 11's. There is plenty of info in this thread and even more in the Stickies of this section to lead you in the right direction.

If you need stuff handed to you, chances are you're not ready to go that fast anyways....

i work for mi money and wud rather get input from the people with experience instead of buying parts because of what i have read on the internet(which is 100% trustworthy:nono: ). I'd rather wait and get replies and answers from people with experience so I don't just go waste my money and then blow an engine or something

Here would be my mod list for a low cost 11 second MK3(No NOS): And this should be able to do it without any weight reduction or suspension modifications.

HPF clutch/stock flywheel
255/50/16 BFG DR's on stock rims
Healthy 7M with metal headgasket
Boss or SP61GT(or any other 61mm bolt-on turbo)
Full exhaust/no cats/ebay split downpipe
Ebay intercooler and hardpipes/Real BOV
MAFT/550 injectors/Walbro/MBC/boost gauge/dyno tune
C16 race gas and 22+psi
Last but not least: Good driving on a well prepped track.

Here is your mod list.... To much to list so here are some pics.....This is way overkill for 11s but will get the job done none the less... 100% NHRA legal

ohh aryte and is your R154 transmission stock? Because my friend, an Eagle Talon owner, was telling me how theres no way I can run 11 seconds on a stock R154 transmission

Your buddy is comparing a dsm talon tranny which are notorously weak to an R154.

That's like comaparing pee-wee herman to a body-builder. His frame of reference is f'd.

If you got the skills to shift consistently then an R154will hold 11 sec passes all day long. :icon_bigg

Aryte thanks for clarifying that guys:D and jus a question for you guys (not starting a debate or anything) but what do you feel about the 7MGTE vs 4G63T( Talon Engine) in terms of power, reliablity, response to mods, and the amount of power they can take?

If I was building a drag car I would do the 4g63 engine because the aftermarket is bigger and I love the feel of the awd. If it was a street car that I wanted to make run 11's it would be the 7m. That is why I have a supra and a 90 awd talon. Both will be 20g powered. :evil2:

i actually think that the 4g63 and the 7m are fairly comparable in relation to mod vs power and reliability. if a jackass owns either, neither one will last long, however, if you know what youre doing both are fairly responsive as far as bang for the buck and reliability.

im for the 7m though, and personally do not like 4g63's/dsm's. This may be because i've got less than 3500 into my car including buying it and modding it to run 11's...but to each his own i suppose.

you can far more easily get a dsm into the 11's. they are extremely cheap to mod, and they respond well to mods. awd= great launches, and dsm link is a good engine management system for real cheap.
