I have. It still went 11's... just much lower 11's.

Now I am sporting just a HAIR under 700.... and I won't discuss what it runs. Everyone gets to find out at tx2k8

Hey guys I just had a question? How reliable is a 450 horsepower-500 horsepower supra? Exactly how long will this last if it was built properly with .40 oversize pistons?

loll I thought I was going to get an answer like that. What would be the most reliable way of doing it? I'm thinking do the metal headgasket and get those pistons and replace anything that shows signs of wear such as hoses and stuff like that.

Better question. How long have you guys had your cars running good? (over 450 horsepower)

gsmokez:

A majority of how long it will last will go towards the tune.

There are a few folks on here that have done "the impossibles".
It's all about that tune! ;)
Just as a quick example, Mk3Brent went quite a while with a simple setup, lots of boost and fuel and I believe even a stock 'yota headgasket, and it was making what he thought to be +/- 500hp.....and the headgasket just recently went out after so long.

wow that's pretty impressive. my headgaskets already done according to the previous owner but Im going to get it checked JUST to be sure lol. And I was planning on getting it tuned by a place that does tuning because I really have NO CLUE what tuning is about and I'd prbably just mess everything up. Would you guys recommend taking it to a shop or finding someone else that does it good?
