"My boys honda makes 630 hp on a built bottom. The head has stock cams. After market valve springs , valves and retainers. The valves are standard size and the head is not ported. He runs a gt4067 and gets max boost at 5grand. Alot of the succes with honda motors come from the hemi design pistons and being rev happy."

That's good for a 4cylinder, and I bet it hauls ass because of the lack of weight... And I agree that hondas have great flowing heads just like the Mitsu 4G63. But the engine is still limited by its displacement and number of cylinders.
Kwnate on these forums runs the GT40/67 on his 7M and makes around 720rwhp(IIRC).

Put a GT40/67 on a (built) LS1 and I bet it makes more power than any 4 or 6 cylinder engine. Even with pushrods and 2 valves per cylinder.

what im saying is.... IJ runs an internally gated gt35r, motec ecu, fully built motor with large cams, and is making mid 500's if i remember correctly. It IS through an automatic, but I would think the 7m would make more peak power too.... maybe IJ tuned it for midrange punch, but I know his cams are huge, and pull good to 8k rpm.
HAHAHA...WOW!!! Let alone the DSM trash....The 7M can barley breath in the shadow of THE 2J, along with EVERY OTHER non-domestic!!! The 4G is OF NO COMPARISON!!!!:icon_mad:

what are you talking about???? This was in comparison to a integra type r, not a 2j. As for the 7m vs 2j, Duane is making very comparable numbers to a 2j with his 7m.

NO NO, MRSUPRA was speaking of the 4g...thats how the entire conversation got started. as for the 7M vs 2j...refering to I.J.S power numbers and all the other "Built" 7ms that make no more then 500hp, lets see the 7m make 800HP with factory internals or any other non-domestic!!!:naughty: Not trying to be an ass, BUT it IS true, and for good reason!!!

Here ya go Bryan:

Stock 7m, stock ct, stock intercooler, 3200 stall, BPU upgrades, small shot of Nitrous is an 11 second MK3.

Now everyone stop the Honda and DSM crap

I come from a land down under
You need to remember mine was making 550 rwhp @ 24 psi.

LPG has less BTU's than Gas some my numbers will always be a little lower but lets see what the Honda guys do with a 3540r at 24 psi it's will be close to the same as it's a function of CFM @ that pressure ratio.

If you move xx air mixed with XX fuel and light it off you get xX power.

I was told using nitrous on the stock CT would be a waste bc the stock CT is hardly efficient.. Just what I was told. Maybe someone can shine some light on this?

I've seen plenty of stock motor'd 7M's go into the 11's but I only know of one that has done that on the stock turbo... This is all on a 5spd I'm referring to also...

Nitrous is never a waste on anything as far as i'm concerned. A couple years ago on HiPsi's car, we sprayed on a stock motor/turbo @15psi (this was in between built engines, we torched a piston in one and had a stocky in there while we were rebuilding)and made close to 400whp and 500wtq. It was a dog off the spray though :)

Nitrous is your friend when you lack a decent turbo ;)

I would like to see this guy you speak of on a stock turbo running 11's

Duane

I can't remember his name but he's a member here.. Didn't DR Jones come close to 11's on a stock motor and turbo? IIRC

Nope, he had an SP57..
I remember MK3Supraguy ran a 12.0 at 115mph on an upgraded CT-26 and he could never repeat it.
