DYNO YET?????? Can't wait to hear the results. My guess is 550HP. You should have members guess and then the closest gets a prize!!!!

LOL no dyno yet... actually I've been street tuning like crazy and running into problems like none-other.

First.. it's hard to get someone who has the same schedule to help me tune (I've recruited my G/F and taught her A LOT about basic tuning).

Second.. I keep poppin' the meth line from heat exposure (finally fixed that I hope)

Third.. I keep making stupid mistakes.. these are just embarassing and I'd rather not even share. LOL.

I'm looking at the ignition map I posted a few posts back, and I'm thinking thats really conservative.. I want to see if anyone else thinks I can up the timing (like 2 degrees) above 20 PSI since I'm running 75% meth out of 28GHP nozzles (literally twice as much as required for 50/50 meth/h20 injection).

But yea.. I think everyone should post their predictions for my setup. I want 500+ RWHP. Low ballers welcomed! :)
I have a great prize for all who drop in.. dyno sheets and dyno vids!

-MP T70, exhaust A/r .68
-25PSI currently, turning it up to 30PSI soon.
-Bosch 044 fuel pump w/ dual -6AN feed stock rail, -6AN Return
-~8:1 CR
-28GPH meth cuts on at 20PSI 150PSI Pump (20% of total fuel) 75/25 meth/h20.
-93 octane... plus whatever meth gives me.

you'll run out of octane for high boost ~ 600whp is my guestimate though run straight meth and maybe 650..

holly crap those timing numbers are quite low.. Lots of ramp though so will probably make power, but will be lazy.. (your map is kpa right zeroed to atm? or am I reading wrong)

fwiw I ran ~ 13* of timing @ 4500ish on my stock twins.. ramped to 16* @ 18 psi knock sensors were fairly quite.. never checked the plugs though.. made 394whp but only trapped 113 (so something was up)

edit: what standalone you using? I thought stinger.. when I looked at it there wern't that many points..

edit again: Forgot your GE-T.. those number total timing or + base timing (which is?)

Thanks for the info Justin, that is a map I stole from someone on SF, I'll probably add quite a bit of timing before I go to the dyno (nothing crazy of course). It sounds to me like you're reading it right.. KPA and 0'd to atm. 394 on stock twins? Dayum!

Honestly the car doesn't feel super fast, or maybe I'm just getting used to it? Either way it's a blast to drive, and I'm crossing my fingers for 500whp... and if I don't get that I'll be VERY disappointed.

Yea I'd say play with the timing some.. see if you can get peoples Na-T maps of SF from aem and look at them. I'm sure they're running more timing. I would say straigh 93 w/ no meth @ around 16-17 psi you can probably get away with 12-13* of timing at peak torque and ramp to 16 or so.. But its best to start low and add more on the dyno.. The but dyno is hard to tell.. street tuning is a paint too.. watching egts and pulling plugs is a pita.. 500+ shouldn't be that muhc of a problem I dont think..

I would think the GE head is similar to the gte head so timing #s would be similar..

I just wish there was a half decent knock meter I could pick up. That would put my mind at ease lol.

I've heard of people using headphones and lil mic's on the blocks to listen for detonation, do you know of what they use for that? I think IJ might have mentioned doing it, if I'm not mistaking?

I've heard sometihng like that.. But Just a coper tube crushed at one end bolted to the block then a rubber hose running up to some ear phones (like the ones you use when shooting at a gun range) and y it off into them.. You'll hear the knock.. even slight knock.. They are very good from what I've heard but I havn't pressonally done it.

I'm having some trouble with my ignition breaking up.. any tips to fixing this?

Right now I'm thinking:
-still too much meth/water?
-boost blowing out spark?
-plugs gapped too large?

Any help is appreciated.

LOL we might be waiting all day... so how about you start your own thread and stop jackin' mine!!!!

Impedence is probably the only difference, put an Ohmeter on one from each set and see what the resistance is.
