the lower half of the manifold is a total of 5 bolts, 3 connecting it to the header, and 2 to the cat. The top 3 can be tricky but an assortment of extensions and deep/shallow 14mm sockets and wrenches should help.
the cheapest way to wire up an electric fan is to use a generic 85-86 87-30 relay and connect it to a 12v ignition wire and also your e-fan. that way the fan comes on whenever you turn the key on.
connect 12v switched power to 85, ground to 86, ground to 87, and e-fan ground wire to 30. Wire...
I'm also going the na-T route, but a little bit different. I fabbed up a custom twin log style manifold for two TD04L-13T turbos off of a subaru WRX.
I plan on running GE electronics with a turbo CPS and vvti 2jz coil on plug setup, and I will probably end up using maft-pro to tune it.
I...
So I drove my 88 NA to a doctors appointment, came back out and it started up fine, then while I was heading home I noticed my voltage spiking to 16-20v so I decided to pull over. Now the car has completely lost power, the battery is fully charged and I have triple checked every fuse I can think...
I dont understand why you would do this, if anything I would put a 20B in a supra but then again I love rotaries :)
I think the car might be slower with the 7m in it. it weighs ALOT more than the 13b and only puts out like 40 more horses. Plus rotaries are alot easier to rebuild.
I've got a RSR Ex-Mag and a test pipe on my N/A, and its almost silent inside at idle or cruising even with the trunk gutted. This is with the silencer in, quite a bit louder without it ;)
I started my Supra today for the first time in about a month, took a while since the battery was frozen and dead... lots of blue smoke, too :naughty:
maybe I will build a gigantic tarp tent again this winter like I did last one when I put the motor in... too bad I didn't take any pics. Time...
in my case it would be easier to rebuild in the spring and do the simple stuff now, because I'd rather pull an engine in the sun rather than in the snow... (no garage)
I didn't mean I was going to cut corners, I've got all winter to save money and work on this project. I'm just trying not to spend alot, like buying a super expensive turbo kit or anything like that.
I think I may start off trying to reach 300whp on a stock bottom end, get everything tuned and...
Ok, so I have a bone stock 7mge that is about to get rebuilt for boost. I'm looking to hit somewhere around 450-500 whp, using an upgraded ct-26. I'm looking into using emanage, as i'm most familiar with it and its low cost. ARP head studs and a titan MHG will also be put on. New triple core...
well, my car never had bushings, and the poly ones are uncut rings, can I cut them and slide them in or do i have to slide them down the rack from the tie rods or something?
