i am in denial about this possible issue. Help me clarify this issue, please.
My car is a 1987 Turbo 5 speed(R154) converted from auto and with about 119,000 miles on it.
First, was smoking in the exhaust both white and blue only after a few minutes and the car was warmed up. :3d_frown...
Actually i have driven an Evo VIII, and it had injectors, upgraded turbo , Apexi BC, intercooler upgrade and ecu dyno flash and other stuffand they are sure fast.
I cant remember how much horsepower he was making.
Btw the Evo are of such chaep quailty in the interiors because i believed that...
Thats true but u are assuming a driver is descent with a manual EVo/STI, but even with these types of cars they could still miss a shift, bog out the car, and many more dumb things can be done to loose a race.
Now if it was auto or auto-clutch like the Evo X. Then i'll give u that.
This wasnt really an insult for me but the story its still funny.
I was driving with my 87T Supra its white and has black rims and tinted and thats it for the exterior along with some front end lighting.
And then this two guys in a caddy catera come next to me on a light and they ask "how...
i did the same swap on my 87 supra turbo and i did notice that you can still use the speed sensor out of the auto but you will have to be careful not to break it as it sits in the sensor pocket in a weird angle compare to the r154 speed sensor, but i believe that you can still use it.
Sorry, about possibly hijacking yuur thread, but would the same technique apply from the 1J to a 7M?
I do have a nasty oil leak coming from the oil pan gasket myself. AND my Supra was sitting for a couple of months until i had all the parts for the auto-5speed swap, then i finished the swap...
Yeah, i forgot to mention that i got the stock CT26 and a intake kit.
BUT i thought that the CT26 could only push to a max of 14-15psi, and at 15psi were pushing the efficiency of the turbo before reaching dimishing returns.
:sarcasm:
Why are u all high and moral about my EGR being removed and also me not wanting to take time and money to put it back and also to put the EGR back, the easiest option is to remove the engine, yeah thats a lot of fun!!! Oh, i dont believe that every Supra owner here is legal, according...
Yesterday, my friend with an EVO 8 had his car dyno tuned and everybody was left scracthing their heads as he only put 238 hp at the wheels and only 205 of torque at the wheels.
It was schoking because he has 3 inch turbo-back exhaust, zeintronix(spelling?) and upgraded turbo, we think the...
i thought that it did, so i do needed after all, damn this means tha i have to get a new BVSV since mine is already broken.
and no i didn't removed it, when i bought the car it was already off and i don;t care about putting the EGR back since i live in Michigan.
About the horsepower...
my first topic is about BVSV (Bimetallic Vacuum Switching Valve)
Do i need it since i dont have the EGR setup? also can i just remove it along with the charcoal canister, or do i need the canister along with the BVSV (Bimetallic Vacuum Switching Valve)?
The reason why i am asking is because...
i did what u suggested and u were right. it was the damn connectors for the KHS VPC and FCD, some were a little loose and they were the HAC and THA pin for the ecu, which meant that i was getting erratic readings from these two wires and since i dont have the AFM. so the ecu was telling me that...
this codes i wasnt getting before i decided to park for a while while i gather the parts for the 5 speed swap since my car was auto. and after i was finished with the swap, i started getting the codes when before it i wasnt getting the codes.
i know that doesnt make sense but the Check engine...
i was reading about the HKS VPC and its supposed to have the resistors so that this sort of thing dont happen. i will check it out.
the thing about the tps is that i am not getting code 51 but instead i am getting 41, i will tried what u recomended to see maybe if the tps its bad. i do have...
i need a little bit of help because after getting the codes from the ecu i get 24, 32, and 41 on my 87 7mgte mt
after doing some research i found that the code 24 is for Intake Air Temp sensor signal and the causes are:
-Intake air temp. sensor circuit
-Intake air temp. sensor
-ECU...
to get the reverse lights to work you have to:
1 get the reverse sensor on the r154 it has 2 wires one is red and the other wire is yellow, u have to extend this wires so that they reach the plugs that were connected to tranny plugs that are by the starter.
2 you have to bypass the neutral...
