my first topic is about BVSV (Bimetallic Vacuum Switching Valve)
Do i need it since i dont have the EGR setup? also can i just remove it along with the charcoal canister, or do i need the canister along with the BVSV (Bimetallic Vacuum Switching Valve)?

The reason why i am asking is because i have read that this sensor is supposed to activate the charcoal canister then it leads to the
EGR when the engine gets hot. AND because i was thinking of removing the BVSV (Bimetallic Vacuum Switching Valve) and put a temp sensor for a gauge

My second topic is about dyno numbers.
I am curious on how much horsepower i will be able to make on nest tuesday when i take my 87 turbo supra to get dyno. if any one has a guess on how much power i will be making on a MUSTANG Dyno.

My Supra has HKS VPC, HKS FCD, Walbro fuel pump, rc 550 injectors along with a Mallory FPR, Greddy boost controller and 3 inch exhaust after the turbo elbow, AC delete, electrical fans upgrade and auto to 5 speed swap with a auction clutch(its a six puck) with a fidanza light weight flywheel.
I WANT TO HEAR YOUR OPINION ON HOW MUCH POWER I WILL MAKE ON THE DYNO, THANKS FOR ANY IDEAS.

The BVSV has nothing to do with EGR...

i thought that it did, so i do needed after all, damn this means tha i have to get a new BVSV since mine is already broken.

and no i didn't removed it, when i bought the car it was already off and i don;t care about putting the EGR back since i live in Michigan.

About the horsepower, 350 to the flywheel or at the wheels.
If i can put lets say around 350 to the flywheel, i will be happy.

Yesterday, my friend with an EVO 8 had his car dyno tuned and everybody was left scracthing their heads as he only put 238 hp at the wheels and only 205 of torque at the wheels.
It was schoking because he has 3 inch turbo-back exhaust, zeintronix(spelling?) and upgraded turbo, we think the turbo is a t3/t4 with a 60 trim, we think because he bought the car with this turbo setup.
BUT he didn;t had a boost controller, and so we had manual boost controller, we just put the manual boost controller in and it got max out to 15.5 psi on the tuned which is about 1-2 psi aver stock boost.

This is one reason why i am having my supra just dyno to see what numbers i will be able to put down.

You need the BVSV only if you're going to retain the EVAP system. Since you don't care about replacing the EGR why would you care about having the EVAP system? Does your immorality and flagrant disregard for the law have limits?

If i were you i'd keep the EVAP system in tact. You'll find out when you start popping gas tank seals. :)

And the EGR actually helps in may ways. ;)

As for question #2, it's tough to estimate a hp expectation since you made no mention of turbo and induction system? If it's the stock turbo, then possible 300 - 320whp at about 16 - 18psi. Also, FYI the VPC will eschew the need for the FCD ;)

:sarcasm:
Why are u all high and moral about my EGR being removed and also me not wanting to take time and money to put it back and also to put the EGR back, the easiest option is to remove the engine, yeah thats a lot of fun!!! Oh, i dont believe that every Supra owner here is legal, according to California emissions.

In michigan they dont test for emissions like in some other places, like California. And if it is a law in michagn to have the emissions, i have yet met any police officer that cares about this. I know that in Cali, the police they do care.

Yeah, i forgot to mention that i got the stock CT26 and a intake kit.
BUT i thought that the CT26 could only push to a max of 14-15psi, and at 15psi were pushing the efficiency of the turbo before reaching dimishing returns.

USDM ECU - needs the egr on the car as its SETUP AND DESIGNED for it... without it you run the risk of detonating under certain conditions. its not about 'smog' or anything like that, its about the engine.

He doesn't care...remember ;)

Go ahead and block off the fuel vapor line from the tank (seal it off nice and tight) and you can remove the BVSV and the charcoal canister.

Get rid of a bunch of those pesky vac lines around the intake manifold too while you're at it.

Awww...come on.
Just think, fill up with 87 octane, advance timing to 16-18 deg, and drive up a 6% grade...make sure the RPM stays right around 3000 or so.
That should take care of the EGR issue ;)
