    Continual Idle Problem

The car has a new ISC valve, and associated parts. All my new parts function as per the TSRM. I am leaning on a leak, leak(s) somewhere. I will test for leaks with a boost leak tester on the turbo inlet - where the accordian hose goes.

    Continual Idle Problem

It seems that these cars are very sensitive to any air/fuel/timing changes. I have the 87 TSRM and multimeter so I can test the stock parts but I have a lot of mods. That code 51 was a real pain. The engine sounds strong and fine across the RPM range -- it's just this damn idle problem. I...

    Continual Idle Problem

Background: Idle problems. I finally resolved the code 51 issue (TPS). Currently, the Super Monitor has no codes (the good). Car: 87 Supra Turbo with Lexus/550s, Aeromotive AFPR with gauge, Walbro, CT-26 upgraded, HKS boost controller, SAFC Neo. I have a brand new engine wiring...

I HAVE A BLOW OFF VALVE QUESTION

Yes just pull the EFI fuse for 30 seconds to a minute depending on the temperature; it's in the TSRM. Generally the HKS SSBOV nut on the back should not be adjusted unless you experience stumbling on idle. If it still stumbles then recirculate.

    Idle problem

I have a brand new throttle body and TPS coming at the end of this week/early next week. The ISC on the car is also brand new. I am going to replace the throttle/TPS and inspect the ISC/clean if needed. The surging on idle should be the ISC valve. The ISC is working because when I unplug it...

    Idle problem

Yeah I switched back from the +30% correction to -3%; I have a wideband O2 sensor that can help me with the air/fuel correction. IdealSupra thanks for the ECU -- it ruled out that problem and the car seems to run better. I have the HKS SSQ BOV and it is welded directly onto the intercooler...

    Idle problem

The +30% S-AFC fix helped a bit but I think it's not the solution. I also replaced the EGR valve and just double-checked the ISC and it is working fine. I am at 32 PSI fuel pressure. Vacuum at idle is around 19. I set it to 10 degrees timing with diagnostic port jumped. I checked the IC...

    Idle problem

First I want to say I have no codes thrown. I replaced the AFM, engine harness, throttle body, TPS, ISC, Igniter, CPS, plugs and wires over a period of 6 months. I have the 550/Lexus mod with S-AFC Neo, ARP studs, HKS MHG. Timing has been set correctly. The car starts and runs fine at first...

    Infamous Code 51

I adjusted the TPS and it now reads 0% as it should with the idle closed. The only thing is there is a dead spot in the throttle where the idle fluctuates. I am still getting code 51. I am going to try another throttle body and a brand new TPS. This is annoying.

    Infamous Code 51

Hey all, I read the threads concerning code 51 (thanks jetjock for the nice write-up). My car's RPMs stay high even at operating temperature. My S-AFC Neo also has throttle hovering between 1.0% and 1.2% instead of 0% with the throttle closed. I am going to try to adjust the TPS using my...

My car still won't run! I need someone to help me!

Since the car starts, I will assume your starter, igniter, AFM, spark plugs, spark plug wires and fuel pump are fine. Are you using a multimeter to check for voltage and ohms as is stated in the manual (TSRM)? If it is not the TPS or the ISC, then check for any intake leaks. If this is a...

My car still won't run! I need someone to help me!

Do you have any error codes? It can be intake leaks, Idle speed Control (the ISC), timing, spark plugs and so on. After you check for engine codes, see what your timing actually is and then check your ISC valve.

Yes it does. In fact, I think you are correct on this one. I am going to look inside the car carefully and check the wire colors to be sure. I think this is the A/C Short Pin connector. I have another wiring diagram of my own on CD for my 87 Supra and it also matches the wire colors and...

I NEED HELP WITH MY CODE 34.....i have tried many things to solve the problem

Sounds like you need the Lexus AFM upgrade (with 550 injectors if you can), or the MAFT Pro if you do not already have it.

Nothing looks like it plugs into it, yes (that I have); no it is not the HAC sensor. I think it may be the hookup to the PPS (progressive power steering) computer.
