    wideband

now just wondering why would it not be needed? because im not doing the tuning myself? so it is really even worth my money to get the AEM i mean i know it will give me better readings and all but i could spend that motor towards a turbo.

    wideband

well lets see if someone can tell me what would be best for me. (im sure someone can) i have full 3in exhaust no cat, intake, lexus AFM, 550's, 255lph pump, fmic, hardpipes, HKS SSQV, HKS headgasket, freshed up motor, greddy boost controller, S-AFC, apex turbo timer. now when i get the car...

    wideband

well im not going be tuning myself but your saying that someone else would need the logging to be able to tune the car. if so then what is the best wideband?

    wideband

this is very informative. thanks again guys. so i have been looking around on the forums and i saw that there is the group buy for the AEM 6in1. now will this do all the monitoring and everything that i need to tune properly? what else would i need with this to make the setup work? (i...

so even with a wideband and an AFC to tune for a correct a/f ratio you still need something else to make it better is that what your saying? like how you said he has an egt and a wideband. what does the egt do in that instance?

    wideband

well i think im going to need to tune ill have injectors, fuel pump, fpr, lexus afm, fmic, hardpipes, bov, etc... i just meant ill have a AFC so i wont need to tap the wideband into my ecu just use the readings to tune with my AFC.

    wideband

so what is the best wideband kit out there? (one that monitors and all that but it doesnt need to tune)

    wideband

i wouldnt want to connect it to the ecu so really the gauge would monitor the stock o2 while the wideband will monitor a/f to the "T" and then while tuning you would use the wideband because it is a closer representation of what is actually going on. so basically the gauge is just kinda like an...

    wideband

so once past the capacities of the stock o2 like getting bigger injectors, a pump, tuning devices there is no real need for an a/f gauge right?

    wideband

where does the switch begin from using ur stock o2 to having to upgrade to a wideband?

    wideband

so basically im thinking about sending back my a/f gauge and using that money to go towards a wideband. thanks guys for all the help. what would the a/f gauge do for me.

    wideband

i was just confused i guess. so the wideband has nothing to do with an AFC tuning your a/f ratio it just monitors the a/f ratio. is this correct? so is there even a real purpose to having a regular a/f gauge?

    wideband

so i would need to get a whole wideband kit with everything and it would let me use the gauge i have now correct? and the wideband it definitely needed for correct tuning purposes? so with a wideband controller that is supposed to control air and fuel what is the point of having a SAFC?

    wideband

well i have a Autometer cobalt full electric one so couldnt i just adapt it somehow to the wideband?
  16. M

    wideband

alright so basically a wideband is just better for tuning and monitoring purposes. so if i have an a/f gauge already i just need the actual wideband and i can use my gauge to monitor it correct? can you go without using a wideband?
  17. M

    wideband

no i didnt watch the video because im on shitty dial-up lol. so i was just wondering if someone could tell me basically what they said. thanks
  18. M

    wideband

alright so its sounds important. but doesnt just having an a/f gauge do the same thing? how do you put in a wideband?
  19. M

    wideband

what is a wideband and is it really necessary?

    intake

which intake fits the Lexus AFM and what about the pipe that goes to the Lexus AFM from the turbo?
