Flying certainly is an expensive hobby. Avionics alone can cost a fortune. I'm currently interning at Garmin AT. I highly recommend the *mumble mumble* ;) (I don't think I can say what I'm working on) I really want to get a pilots license at some point.

More drag does not necessarily mean more downforce/stability... If you have two cars with the same downforce but one has a lower Cd then the lower Cd one is better.
