are you talking about CT upgrades? if so don't bother with any of them....the poor little CT's bearings and shaft can't handle it. if you must upgrade the CT, stick w/the 57 trim....the 60-1 or 62-1 are way too big to be wagging around on the end of that puny shaft.
if you're new to it, your best bet is to find a local shop or knowledgeable local guy and watch him do it. diving in cold only leads to blown up stuff.....
understand what i'm saying:
it is NOT a good idea to compare performance data collected from the 2JZ-GTE with desired performance from the 7M-GTE (or for that matter, the 1JZ-GTE).
this thread started with someone asking about the MAP ECU 2 on the 7M-GTE, not the 2JZ-GTE.

as for the internet hearsay, who cares what someone's uncle's friend's mom's aunt's grandma's lawnkeeper did w/XX fuel pump? use your head and get a NEW pump....whichever you choose.
how long the W58 lasts is purely a function of how the previous owner treated it, what oil you run and how you treat it. hard launches will end its life quickly.
