    Maft Pro Initial Setup Questionss

You don't want it slightly lower than WOT? I thought WOT occured ~80% throttle or so. I'm still setup as AFC mode but hope to start using speed/density very soon. Just trying to make sure I understand first.

    Maft Pro Initial Setup Questionss

I'll get someone to watch voltage while I open the TB via the throttle rod to see if the pedal has slack. How can we tell where WOT occurs if there's varying voltage between folks cars? I guess to use A/F tracking I could set min. TPS to 3.2 or so instead of the preset 4.9? Thanks Adam. Brian

    Maft Pro Initial Setup Questionss

Anyone see problems with less voltage than mentioned from TPS? I get 3.48V max.

A list of MKIII spring rates OEM, aftermarket and coilover

Anyone have info on Buddy Club's. I've been looking at them for a while but don't have the funds now (bougtht a trailer instead.) Looking at zeal as well, just hadn't heard much feedback and there's a big price difference.

    AutoX Set up

As far as the water spray goes, this will depend on the tire and it's not only a performance technique but also a longevity one. Many folks don't have funds to constantly replace tires as in pro racing levels. For auto-x you want a tire that will heat quickly as you have a short time to run and...

    AutoX Set up

Good explanation C2m and I think you're right on with that last comment, "after a while step up to big, race rubber." I haven't been autox-ing all that long but have noticed many people step up to race tires from the start. Yes this will make you faster by allowing the car to be thrown around...

    AutoX Set up

I've got the adjustables. They a good stock improvement IMO (a little stiffer than stock) but not made to be used with non-stock (ie: shorter) springs. They offer a soft ride on "normal" and tighten up a little on "sport" but I don't feel they're suited for competition use.

    255 front fitment??

Thanks Luke, maybe I'll be able to get these to work after all. Brian

    soft shocks or seats

Ha, I was thinking about putting mine in my Tacoma since they're finally out. My race seats are comfortable for a while. With the support they offer I think I'm trying to ignore how nice the stockers were. I've even had a couple people come up to me at events and ask how I could get rid of...

    255 front fitment??

Syst, how about fender contact? Did the tires come into contact with the fender? With a +24 offset it seems like they must have stuck out past the fender in a 9" width. A 9" wheel should be more than sufficient for a 255, the range for a 255/40 should be 8.5->10. Thanks, Brian

    255 front fitment??

Shaeff, you're talking about the tire contacting the inner fender right? I believe mk4 fronts are 17x8 +50 so they sit in much further towards the inside. Thanks, Brian

    255 front fitment??

Just wanted to check and see if others have run a 255 tire in front and if so, what offsets and profiles it was done with. I have a 17x9 +35 front wheel I'll be using and was hoping a 255/40 would fit without rubbing. This is with eibach springs. Thanks, Brian

    17x10 fitment??

I'm thinking the rear 17x10 +38 w/ 275/40 will fit (based on others fitment success) The front 17x9 +35 w/ 255/40 however, I'm not sure will fit. It's a lower profile than say a 245/40 but not by much.

    17x10 fitment??

Aaron, how much lower than stock is your car? I'm planning for 275's and trying to measure to be sure they won't rub. How about fronts, I'm hoping to be able to run a 255/40 with the 17x9 +35 in front.

    AutoX Set up

I have a similar setup to what ToySup mentioned but with a few more power mods. (ecu, injectors and Lex meter) With the mods you list you'll be eligible for an SP class (if you're talking about Scca classing) keep in mind you can now run boost control in this class as well. I don't use R' comps...

    Racing BMW M3's

The new 335 has an inline 6 w/ twin turbo. It s closer to the mk3's weight than the old 'trim' m3's were (3550lb or so) It's ashame Toyota's dropped turbos when BMW and Honda finally have one.

Stock Seatbelt + Racing Seats = no no?

Everyone seems to be blaming possible injuries on the belt install/type of belt you're mentioning. No one has mentioned that a harness bar does nothing for roll protection. Racing seats and harnesses are meant to keep occupants in an upright position (not give like a stock seat) If a car were...

Dyno data?? DDP reroute vs. Std. 3" DP

Thanks Randy, that's what I was hoping to hear. The 45 deg. entry is the preferred reroute to maximize smooth flow merging, at least according to my readings. Brian

Dyno data?? DDP reroute vs. Std. 3" DP

Anytime you're merging flows you're introducing turbulence, I'm just wondering if there is less than with a "wide mouth" standard 3" pipe? Thinking that the flow may have smoothed some in a DDP and then the WG line is introduced, creating turbulence again. If the WG line were to atmosphere...

Dyno data?? DDP reroute vs. Std. 3" DP

Is there any dyno data comparing a rerouted DDP and open DDP to a standard 3" DP? I'm wondering if the downstream merge of the two flows (turbine and WG flows) will cause more turbulence than a standard 3" DP which merges the flows at the opening. Just looking for comparison numbers on these...
