Is there pricing/order info on this DP yet?

    ground control shock/perches??

Did they? Actually I was thinking Buddy Club when I wrote that. I'd look for a Ground Control setup but haven't seen one offered, I'd bet that's why. Doc, opinions on "good" coilovers? I don't think most of sub $1k setups are going to be all that great for competition use.

    ground control shock/perches??

I was looking for responses on quality of the sleeve over design, how tough it is, etc. I'd be using it w/ a Koni shock and compared to coilover setups that I would use, this would be cost effective (competition use, Looking at full ground control, or Zeal but can't justify cost yet)

    ground control shock/perches??

I'm looking for opinions on the ground control spring perches (threaded, adjustable) that are offered for the mk3. These are the ones that are added to shocks, not already a coilover set.

    tire size ??????

This depends on the profile (245/40 45 50, etc.) and will also depend on the sidewall stiffness. You don't want to put too wide of a tire as it starts to get more mushy (less wheel to support the tire profile from rolling) www.kuhmousa.com also has sizing info.

    17x10 fitment??

The one's I'm referring to are the Rpf1 (enkei) http://www.enkei.com/RacingSeriesSpecs/RPF1.html Suspension has Eibach springs w/ tokicos but that will be replaced before long in favor of something better suited for competition (auto-x/track car) They don't offer a +35, only 38 or 22 (and...

    17x10 fitment??

I've done some searching and have seen differing answers. Does anyone know of a minimum offset required for a 17x10 rear to fit on a lowered suspension? I bought a set of race wheels in 17x8.5 & 9 but have found they're also offered in 9.5 & 10 so I plan to sell the 8.5 and use a 17x10 rear if...

    good tires

I don't think the original post asked for either one. Btw, I wouldn't suggest an R6 for auto-x that is if you're looking for traction at all.

    Time Trial Classification.

Have you done a TT yet? Just wait, you'll see why they're classed that way. I run with Mustangs/Camaros that are in my class with SCCA rules, for TT (Nasa) classing they run TTB or C and I'm TTD. I've seen some rediculously fast Civics in TTG before. Brian

    good tires

Make sure the tires are good in colder temps. You don't want a UHP/EP (ultra high/extreme performance) tire in temps that are near freezing. They take a little heat to grip.

    PS3 for sale

Is this all that different than a rare, super JDM-tyte one of 10 part? I think I've seen some HKS cams sell for way more than they're worth to alot of people. It's worth it to someone. A PS3 went for $10k on ebay this morning. I understand paying more for having it now but that deserves a...

Best advice for moutain runs (spirited driving, not illegal :P)?

I've over heated my brakes on a small roadcourse (still a newbie to racing) they were smoking as I was getting ready to start the next lap (no hot lapping) Pads were ~4 years old and glazing so they weren't in the best shape and I wasn't using them properly. Try not to hold the brakes (squeeze...

    Interest in auto-x/track forum??

They've definitely got you in the wrong class man. (Unless you're driving a mk4 turbo) The N/A mk3, turbo mk3 and N/A mk4 all go to ESP in street prepared. I was considering trying to find a N/A mk4 for that reason. This puts you almost right on with the PAX of BS (stock 350z) which seems...

    Interest in auto-x/track forum??

That's the way to look at it (with rose colored glasses) you're out there to have fun and see what it can do. I've been looking into a second car for a dedicated track vehicle because the mk3 is outclassed and too heavy for me to eventually tow. I'll have to try to lower ratio before long, I've...

    Interest in auto-x/track forum??

Don't listen to the haters. (no offense Adam, just hecklin' ya) Yes the mk3 is heavy but my take on it is this (I still consider myself a novice so take this is FWIW) I see it as being 75% driver, 15% tires, and 10% vehicle. The mk3 is capable and yes it's outclassed but I think it can be...

I like the 'ton of fun' comparison. Unfortunately it's more like two.

    Interest in auto-x/track forum??

You just missed the Commonwealth games, which includes a two day auto-x as part of the events. This was in Danville, VA which might be the closest venue for you. Might want to check the NC area clubs as well I think they might run at Danville Airport sometime.

Thanks for the responses Bob, I'll try to settings as soon as I can. Brian

    maftpro is working

I haven't been able to get mine to log. I want to create some base logs to review before beginning to tune (will likely wait until MAP conversion so I can monitor timing as well)

    Swaybar comparisons?

I have the chart that someone (Jeff G?) put together comparing swaybar features/ratings. I'm looking for feedback if anyone has compared the various models for the mk3 before I start doing this myself. I have the ST bars now but am looking a Tanabe or whiteline for the front and likely whiteline...
