Trying to tune car with SAFC II and Zeitronix Wideband, can't get AFR low enough...

OK. I plan on doing what you suggested right after work Nosechunks. I do have a question (after reading the SAFC literature again) regarding the operation of the SAFC. I have heard in the past, and I could be mistaken, that closed loop adjustment with the SAFC was pointless because the TCCS will...

Trying to tune car with SAFC II and Zeitronix Wideband, can't get AFR low enough...

Thanks for the help NoseChunks. I know I still have a lot to learn when it comes to the TCCS. I appriciate the help all the same. I don't think I really understan how to use the SAFC, so today I am going to try and read up on it. I will most likely post again with more questions :) Thanks again...

Trying to tune car with SAFC II and Zeitronix Wideband, can't get AFR low enough...

Ok, this is confusing the hell out of me! I don't know what I have screwed up, or where to begin. I turned the screw in (most of the way, however I didn't bottom it out) on my AFM, I set the pressure back to 25 psi and I zeroed out the correction on the SAFC II. I set my boost controller to...

Trying to tune car with SAFC II and Zeitronix Wideband, can't get AFR low enough...

Thanks for the reply. I did forget the fuel pump. Its a fairly new walbro. I didn't think of the screw, I will turn it in as soon as I get off work and give it a go. I try resetting the the SAFC back to zero correction and see what I get. Thanks!

Trying to tune car with SAFC II and Zeitronix Wideband, can't get AFR low enough...

Hey Guys, I hope this will all make sense to everyone other than myself. Car is an 86.5 Turbo Swap (rebuilt motor with mls head gasket), I am running a Aeromotive AFPR, 550's, Lexus AFM, SAFC II, AEM Tru-boost, and a Zeitronix Wideband for data logging. If anything else is relevant let me...

Synapse BOV surges when recirculated, ideas and advice please!

So after some testing today... I have decided it is much improved, but I don't think the surge is completely gone, don't get that even pust sound that I did with no recirculation. I don't know whether to leave it as is (is a little compressor surge going to fry my turbo fast? Not sure if it is...

Synapse BOV surges when recirculated, ideas and advice please!

Well my set up with the new fitting didn't work, I still saw a significant amount of surging. I have plumbed it up yet again, this time eliminating the pos 22 dollar reducer I bought, and installing a 1.25" hose from the Recirc. fitting to the 1" ID 45 degree fitting I siliconed into my...

Synapse BOV surges when recirculated, ideas and advice please!

I installed a fitting on to my accordion hose last night and got everything all plumb, was looking forward to testing it out today. Then woke up to SNOW this morning! Well I guess I will have updates in a few days, hopefully. Anyway, pictures will follow, didn't turn out the exact way I had...

Synapse BOV surges when recirculated, ideas and advice please!

Yeah, in retrospect, I am feeling I should have gone with a different brand, maybe even just upgraded to the Bosch Diverter Valve since I rarely run high boost. I am thinking I am going to have to go the route of cutting into the accordion hose (so thanks for the experience IJ). I am not really...

    apexi safc

Set your fuel pressure per TSRM, and leave the SAFC zero'ed out. You can hook into the KS wire, just make sure your SAFC is setup correctly per their instructions. (Karman sensor, etc.) The SAFC is pretty much a digital gauge, until you mess with the corrections. GET YOURSELF A WIDEBAND. You...

Synapse BOV surges when recirculated, ideas and advice please!

Thanks for the input guys. I am currently waiting on a new silicone elbow to redo a piece of my current intercooler setup so I can move the BOV further down stream and get a longer run at the accordion pipe. I still don't know how I am going to get 1.25" all the way to the accordion hose, but...

Synapse BOV surges when recirculated, ideas and advice please!

Hey I have had this BOV installed on my 87 Supra for about two weeks now. I ran it vented to atmosphere for a few days until I could get the recirculation figured out. It worked great and no surge was noticed. I did notice that my car wasn't loving the loss of metered air and it was showing in...

SAFC II wired with Zeitronix, Neither will turn on...

Yeah those are the ones that I used! Thanks for making it clearer. Does anyone have any comment on the resistor? I am not even sure I understand why the ecu would have a problem with the O2 being disconnected if it is still receiving input from the OX sensor? Thanks for the info! And thanks for...

SAFC II wired with Zeitronix, Neither will turn on...

Ok, So I figured out my problem. It was actually quite simple. I figured I would go ahead and change the Zeitronix ground from the E1 that I had it tapped into to the E01 like in Isnms wiring diagram. It works great now! So for future reference. If using a SAFC II in parallel with a Zeitronix...

SAFC II wired with Zeitronix, Neither will turn on...

I hope this hasn't been gone over before, I have searched and haven't found anything. I have had my SAFC II wired in for almost two years, just piggy backed off the ECU, with inputs for B+, E1, IGT, and VTA. So when I wired in my Zeitronix I went ahead and piggy backed on the SAFC II wires...

    Zeitronix Narrowband Simulation

Thanks GrimJack. Where can I find information on the correct resistor to install between the heating circuit? Thanks! Trevor

    Zeitronix Narrowband Simulation

I would like to try out my narrowband output feature of my Zeitronix and was wondering what to do with the stock O2. Can it be completely removed after the OX wire is cut and soldered to the Zeitronix narrowband output? I'm unsure if the heater element wire in the stock O2 will cause issues if...

T61 Bolt on Turbo by Cx Racing

Thanks for the info. I had a T4 manifold and Wastegate that I sold in the fall. I originally planed on going T4, I just don't want to invest in MAFPRO (already have AEM UEGO, Tru-boost, a Zeitronix for data logging, and an SAFC II). T4 would just be too much I guess. This turbo does look...

T61 Bolt on Turbo by Cx Racing

So has anyone gotten one of these checked out yet? Paradox looks like the only one with real good feedback as to the operation. I am debating between this, the SupraSport Boss Jr. (57 trim-not sure if it is worth the extra coin) and the Driftmotion upgraded 57 trim... Hum, what to do...
