He is full of it, and I can't believe he would give out my name to random people who complain. I am also not their customer. I am not trying to mess up anything, I bought their clutch in person, and had Action Clutch test it, and it was no higher spring pressure then stock. It's not my fault...
Thanks for the support! I am completely determined now.
I am installing a motherfu-king 5m crank in this engine if it is the last motherfu-king thing I ever do! :biglaugh:
I don't care how many crank shops I have to go to LOL
Well I do have something to motivate me now...... I picked...
I'm going to reclaim my still unfinished crank in the morning. Castillo's was lying to me for a week at least saying it was done and just needed to be dropped off at the machine shop. I went in there last week and the snout wasn't even welded on! It was just screwed into the crank and needs to...
That happened to me one time when I was really sick, I fell back into the tub, and lucky for me I just basically sat down without injury. That was the only time I ever remember passing out.
After reading all the responses so far in this thread I must say that SM has got to have some of the best members on any car forum. Everybody made great points and gave excellent advice. I really don't have anything to add other then kudos to all of you.
JIC FLT-A2 is a very nice coilover for mk3. I would take them over the Silk-Road. Actually I did LOL
20k front is way too high for a mk3, unless you have two engines in the front or something.
You are not reusing stock flywheel bolts, and then tightening them to 65ft/lbs are you? :aigo:
Stock flywheel bolts are supposed to be replaced like you would with head studs!
I also don't think it's going to be worth all the work to go back to stock twins on a 2jz, especially with a 1jz already in the car with a big single turbo kit on it. But it's Jag's project and if he wants a 2jz then that's what he wants.
I bet he's getting Nick's old twins for cheap/free...
I gotta go with Jdub on this one. Why put a bunch of time and money into an engine you will be pushing to the (well known) limit of certain internal components. Jdub is just using engine building common sense, where as you are on some personal mission to see how far you can push stock components...
I called yesterday, they are almost ready to go, so they may come by on Monday to get the head and block.
This type of thing is ready when it's ready, if you are in a hurry you have many options available right now.
There is no 2jz-gte or 1jz-gte DLI harness available as far as I know.
Here is a basic installation instruction page:
