Just to put your fears at rest I have already run 21psi on pump gas on my 7m with 83.75 mm bore cylinders (slight chamfer at the top) and an 86mm headgasket, with no signs of pinging or detonation. Over the last few years I did about 60 dyno pulls at 17-18psi and higher and with the same engine...
They called me and I thought it was all arranged for them to come by and pick up a head and block for free for measurements to do the prototype, I never got a call back or email or anything.
I'll call them tomorrow and see what's up. I just didn't feel I should have to bug them to pick up...
Of course it is not the only option, and probably not the best way to go for everybody, but he didn't ask for your opinion on a T4 turbo kit, he said he likes my setup. You not only want to talk him out of it, but you are severely underestimating the cost and difficulty of putting together a T4...
Ric forgot to mention with this "kit" he is recommending you will need a wastegate, custom downpipe, v-band clamp, etc...
Plus like Jag said, you still need custom ic piping.
T4 1jz manifold for $120 shipped? Show us where to get that Ric.
"Buy a used turbo off of Supraforums" How does...
Well now it's "done", but it hasn't been dropped off at the machine shop in a week since it has been "done". I am going tomorrow in person and get it underway.
This is the only one I am interested in:
I called him this morning. There will be no group buy, the price is as low as it will ever go. The group buy would be us all buying them asap. Once he sells 10 units, the price will go back up to the normal price. I am going to be buying a few of...
Why, you were one of the people who made me think this way :biglaugh:

"if you ever blow this gasket, you are REALLY doing something wrong."
And IJ is doing something wrong, he's running freakin PROPANE!
I'm not sure they are worth the extra money to be honest. They don't seem to handle any more boost, abuse, or improper installation methods any better then the standard HKS bead gasket.
We usually go with 38psi, but for your purposes Tim, you might want to go with around 45psi. That will let you lean it out a little more using your afc, which should increase the fuel cut boost pressure.
