just curious, at 15psi, did you dyno yet?
as far as boost, i have 440's and t61 and my safc records high boost at 1.17 and my boost gauge (autometer) which i think is wrong, records it at almost 20psi. i kinda dont want to say its wrong though because when i run just off of wastegate spring...
ok, now i might be off by a few, but i'm sure it was pretty darn close to these measurements.
inducer- 3.589
exducer- 2.345
square both and divide ind by exd times 100 should result in trim...right?
i'm just hoping its something that simple. maybe i should just go to the track and...
same problem ONLY when i take it to the car wash though. it rains a lot here and it never happens when raining.
also it sputters for only a few seconds though.
well after a dissapointing dyno run, 366 at 15psi, crower cams, t61.. i was confused as to why my dyno was so low. at first i thought it was my spark plug because a couple of the runs broke up real bad up top. i put new plugs in it and it fixed the breaking up part, drove like normal and pulled...
i bought a 92 corolla for a beater and regret it so much. my 1jz gets better gas mileage and is quieter (engine wise)...except of course when you go wot then everything changes. average 27mpg normal highway driving w/ small city drive. 30mpg all highway.
i've never had a mechanical issue that...
i did see cracks in the coil but would that be enough to cause that?...it was super small...barely there. if it is that bad couldnt you just use some type of sealer on it? i was going to throw some fipg on that bad boy and call it good lol
also! i measured the compressor to get my trim size...
i'll check them..installing new plugs in just a minute, but i'm still puzzled as to why my dyno is so low.
i mean look at the 1st run, it didnt break up at all ..or barely...and it still didnt make that much. i'm thinking this turbo cant really be a t61..i'm going to measure the trim today to...
tl086- i will be moving to littleton, co soon or around that area. what city do you live in?
i want to continue my truck/supra wrath and build a lowered 4x4 2jz (project 4 wheel launch)...so i'll need a healthy competition.
now try from a stop..lol
i could kill one all day, but as soon as its from a stop it takes me till about 3rd gear to tone down the spinning and catch up.
i've had those plugs in it ever since i bought it, which is about 7k-ish miles ago. all i know is that its ngk's...dont know if its copper or not. if it is, i wouldnt know how to tell how copper plug feels when they go bad...never ran with them.
i plan on gapping the 6097's at .27 and go...
well i dyno'd her and i'm pretty dissapointed with the results, but at the same time i can see why i got these numbers. i knew i should've put the 6097's in before i ran her.
mods at 15psi- t3/t61, 440s(540's waiting to b clean), safcii, 3" i/c pipes, 3" exhaust, crower 272s
it was...
if you guys call champion just make sure they dont put you on hold or else that stupid song is going to be stuck in your head the WHOLE week. lol
ghost buster copy cats.
i'm sure the knock sensors have little to do with idle. it'll run like crap without them, but it should not affect your idle at all.
i would get a fuel pressure gauge and see what you're getting at idle
it def. wont work. i'm not 100% positive to EXACTLY where they are but they are back there. should be a few wires coming together and then you ground them. just look around that area. it should be hard to miss. if anything just follow the wiring harness.
i doubt the tps would do that too. sense you're doing everything already i would switch back to stock injectors and see if the problem goes away. maybe its too much fuel up top and its fouling the plugs??
i know guys have always done this combo setup and has had no problem, but cant say...
