its torque mainly that kills the transmission and hard launching. i personally think the w58 is fine for the 1jz (more often less torque then 2jz/7m) for 350ish-rwtq max safe WITHOUT hard launches. my 1jz/w58 combo has been together for at least 3 years with occasional hard launches. torque...

my truck does the exact same thing with the greddy profec b. there are settings on the back that you can change. make sure you change those settings. i have an external waste gate setup, but i switch those white tabs around to "up, down down, up" ...you might have to do "up, down, up, down"...

if thats a leaf spring type rear setup..what are your plans for that? i could only imagine MAD wheel hop. its lookin real good so far. make sure to take a picture of the front tires off the ground in 1st 2nd and 3rd gear lol.

i'm almost certain theres a 3.5X something that the 4 runner uses. i might be mistaken for the front axle 7.5" though. i'll check on that.
