hard to hit fuel-cut with stock everything including boost. But I would definitely check that wastegate vacuum line. A manual boost controller is inexpensive and you can easily set it and forget it, and not have to worry about overboosting. Also you said you had no codes. If you did overboost...
yes, tested per TSRM. Didnt post a price because really I paid too much for the car, I know I'm gonna lose my shirt in the sale, but don't wanna settle for a lowball offer if I could of gotten more. I will try to take some updated pics tomorrow and post them up.

Well this is the 3rd time. the silly afm again. Car will start but will not hold idle. Troubles codes are both of the afm ones. I'm sick of it, and dont have the money to buy parts to fix. In my book... it's 3 strikes and your out, so my car is listed for sale on this forum. I will refrain...
Hey guys, I did do a search but could'nt find anything relevant for some reason. Once again, I am having AFM issues, and I am seriously considering converting to at least the basic Maft translator. I've been on Maft's website and HP freaks, but need to know everything to get for the conversion...
Just got caught up on this, nice work, loved the vids...ty. Sorry about the pistons, sounds like my luck. Just keep at it, you will be happy you did and once the 2J is all dialed in and done, you will have a instant-grin machine lol.
It was a loose IC hose. The one where it meets the hardpipe in the passenger front fender. I could actually feel the air escaping from it. Tightened it all up and she is fine now.
Well crap, my happiness was short-lived. Ran earlier today to get a haircut and to the store...car ran fine. Got it in a few minutes ago to go run a errend. Pulled out onto the road, and she wont go,,,kicks and bucks when I hit the gas, and I barely pressed the gas..like normal pressure for a...
It definitely did help, got it all lined up and she started as soon as I hit the key. Idling right now in the driveway, with no smoke !!! WOOOT !!! Thank you everyone for your help, you are guys are the shit. I think a quick vid of her running is in order...here ya go, and thanks again...
Yea the CPS is way off. I'm having trouble getting it to align. I am putting it in lined up, but after it spins when I insert it, it is stiff/rigid and won't move. What am I doing wrong ?
Ok I just reset number 1 piston at TDC, and cams are in fact pointing straight up. I put a mark on the pulley where the 0 is. Now I just gotta wait on my neighbor with his timing light. What do you mean by aligning the notch on the cps? All I did was pull it out, then put it back in...I never...
tried to start it again after letting it sit all night. It sputtered pretty good a couple times. I pulled plug 1 and checked for spark...it's good. I'm wondering if the timing being way out would keep it from starting? My neighbor is a mechanic and when he gets up, I'll see if he can help me...
Ok update time. 2 of my car club buddies came over to help me see whats up. They found 2 vacuum leaks which were fixed. My Supra will now sort of sputter-run for about 5 seconds and then die. On the plus side, one of the guys has 2 MkIII's, 1 is a parts car...in which he said I could have the...
got her all back together, motor turns over but will not start....only sputters a bit. I'm thinking timing is off, but I have aftermarket crank pulley, so no notches to go by.
OK well I'll get the pvc hard lines put back in and connect the hoses, and then I should see that one where it needs to be connected. I still need to know where the little harness in that pic goes, the one with the red wires. I can't wait to fire her back up and see how she runs !!!
