ok I spliced the hood sensor wires together and attempted a reset by locking/unlocking the car via the passenger door, did 2 cycles and it did not reset. I then unplugged the theft deterrent harness and ground the blue wire w/orange stripe. This is also a no-go with the added bonus of headlights...
Ok great. I will see if I can find the thread. Only other problem is getting that idle-up valve screwed in a little tighter, but its a royal pita with no room to move a wrench in that cramped area.
Yes tranny and clutch are now fine
I have a Lotek 2 - gauge, and it went right in with no trimming. You do have to take a little care to make sure you insert the end nearest the dash first, but once I had that in the rest was cake.
ok update. Got new battery terminals on and finally she starts without jumping her off. So I went for a drive.... I get about 5 miles from the house and the theft deterrent triggers. Headlights come on and horns go off...WTF ???? I pulled over and disconnected the horn at the firewall and...
Yea the idle-up valve. That's not a bad idea. When I first got the car, the idle-up wasnt even hooked up anyway. I'm gonna check it out and see what I can do.
well fluid is in, and it leaked all out. I know that valve is 300+ bucks, which is just money I don't have. I am really irritated because there is a car show Sunday that I was going to enter in, and once again, I can't. I think it's time to part with her and cut my ties. It kills me to keep...
I now need a pic of what the ecu and abs modules look like installed with the glove box down. I cant seem to remember how it goes other than the ecu goes on the left. I looked in the tsrm for a pic but no luck.
I agree with Shaeff. Mine came loose there once, so I put a new clamp on it. It was the last place I looked too. Keep in mind it might LOOK like it's on there, but that does'nt mean it is tight.
possibly. I vote check your wires including the grounds. You might have a wire rubbing against some metal somewhere, which can eat through the wire insulation and cause all kinds of strange things to happen.
