    New Turbo-A in CA

It requires desolderig the chip from the board, and reading out the stored code, then soldering it back in. From your posts I would say you're not up for that any time soon. I would be a little nervous too, just because if something did go wrong I would have a hard time finding a replacement...

    Plug & PLay HID???? AGAIN???

Prices are dropping quickly. I would not be surprised to see them <$100 next year.

Grey Market smog help in CA!

How did that car make it past the docks? I thought importing alone was near impossible to any state.

What did you do to your supra today? Pics

You'll need a small puller to get the wiper arm off the spindle.

electrical gurus unite! for the love of sup help!

NE is used by the ECU to compute RPM and crank position. Without it you get no spark and no injection. There is no point debating it.

G- is the ground for all 3 CPS coils. So you had no NE signal since it was shorted to ground. No NE signal means you get no ignition or injection. Your original claim to have spark was therefore false.

TorSen LSD downside? How about Kaaz?

Yeah, really. Its pretty much a made up problem except if you are setup with a really stiff AR setup that actually picks the inside wheel off the ground, or off-roading.

If its sparking and the injectors are not firing then the ECU inputs are fine (CPS etc). That's why I said its the wiring or an ECU fault. COR is only for the fuel pump control. Jump the FP in the diagnostic box and try to start to verify the COR is not the issue. Given the fact as presented...

electrical gurus unite! for the love of sup help!

Well, I'd say you have either a wiring problem from the injector circuits to the ECU, or the ECU is bad. Everything you are measuring is perfectly normal for the injectors in standby. Since they all get powered from the same source, and are low impedance seeing continuity of a few ohms between...

7mge internals with 60-1 turbo how much boost can I run?

code 31 has a 3000 rpm fuel cut. Fix your AFM, and then things will work better.

TorSen LSD downside? How about Kaaz?

I believe you want a 2nd gen Torsen out of an IS300. The JZA70 Torsen is known to be weak.

need to pass CA star smog

GEs have one cat. JJ meant to write GTE. Interesting that you have one O2 sensor. Are you sure it is a CA spec car (must be if you bought it here)?

    Overheating, high idle, ect

Point an IR temp gun at the radiator and see if its getting hot. Probably plugged with crap if it overheats at idle. You can also take the rad cap off and look down the tubes with a light.

    Intake Backfire

Not my experience. It runs if the AFM is disconnected and code 31 is set, but it does not run fine with the afm reading no air. That's the primary input to the fuel calc. Anyway, the OP should hook up the plumbing and try again.

Head bolt torques? legends/ facts/ history?

This is a portion of Reg Riemer's original post. The link to this document on the Suprasonic web site is broken, so I pulled it from Google cache. Otherwise I'd just link the doc.

    Intake Backfire

I'm confused. Is the throttle body connected to the AFM, or is the piping missing?

    Code 31 Problems

The tach signal (IG-) does not go to the ecu. It goes only between igniter, diagnostic box, and the tach itself. Maybe you meant M1 when you said ecu , but I'm presuming you know this anyway. Any interruption in the power supply, be it ground or 12V side, will cause code 11 to be set. So if you...

    Code 31 Problems

A code 31 is accompanied by a 3000 rpm fuel cut. Now, with no tach that is hard to verify, so that would be something to put on the list to check again when the tach is fixed. The wonky KS may just be your meter having a slow update rate, or it could be the AFM is junk. However, the AFM theory...
