When you said you changed out the front suspension parts and said you had wheel hop. No big thing. Wheel hop with IRS and a limited slip diff is common. Stronger components and the bushings like you have already indicated help a tremendous amount.
I prefer the gradual warm up rather than waiting and having the cold windshield hit with warm air and cracking. It sure is a fancy feature though to not have cold air blow on you in winter.

Cygnus shows 88460-14262. When used on one of the dealer sites, it says that doesn't exist but 88460-14252 does (discontinued) and is to 1990. All I see is used and ebay hits on google.
