The first place I saw the piece was a website called Lanes Supra Page, or something like it. Then I went out and got a bunch of back issues, and scanned many of them and posted them here.
Does every one understand the pressure drop? That is before and after the restriction. Just like pinching off a garden hose that is on. The pressure is high before the pinch when nothing is coming out. Remove it, and flow goes up and pressure goes down. Just like electricity. And when valves...
The low pressure port can only be between the pressure drop and compressor. On any car. Some are convenient, like with an orifice tube, which we don't have.
To add to this, chains have less stretch. Both stretch a very slight amount, the chain even less slight, and then the variable timing is more accurate.
That could be the big port casting reason. But, some have pointed out the big port head on early and late 7MGE. Who knows. And it isn't like Toyota will ever say. And by Toyota, I mean Toyota in Japan.
This is after I ground the casting stalactite half way. This impedes good coolant flow. There is a lot you can do to a head to help it when it is off the car.
The aluminum is from factory changes to meet US CAFE standards, not because it works better. You are right to notice it is a downgrade. My 91 had a copper/brass. I think the aluminum rolled out much later.
I have the ND replacement aluminum unit that does not cool as well as copper/brass. I have a truck heavy duty fan clutch. Yes, it makes fan noise when hot because it is not slipping as much and the 10 blade is pulling air. My A/C is cold in the StL summer with humidity My dual electrics turn on...
1982-1985 Chevrolet S10 came up on google. It might be oversized to what we need. Measurements were not on the page with the $61.00 price tag. I just don't want to repeat what you have already seen and know that it doesn't fit.
Yep. It's time. I will have things done before pictures. This has been a long time coming. I am not fretting over the turbo, I am building the long block. Nothing too high, but more compression with my 93 pump gas available. And 3.14s program for my Lex meter and maybe 680cc injectors. That is...
My wife hit the Supra today, parked in the garage. She has hit the Supra and my Yukon while they were parked. And she was hit while driving my Supra back in 2007 or so.
