the square style mounts will work, and i had a similar issue with my 1jz i was quotes for a supra motor but got a soarer motor but soarer motor is a rear sump so i got lucky and yes you will need a rear sump... who did you get the motor from?

seriously... i just did this job on my 1jz and it sucked... i couldn't get that one damn nut... i ended up taking the the nuts off that hold the turbos to the manifold...
but if your just gonna take it off to throw on a wideband... i agree with "OneJArpus" just buy a bung and re-weld it to...
length is probably slightly different but probably not by much... as far as using a jdm speedo cable versus a usdm speedo cable is different i would guess because they each are made for different measurements of speed
