you can make the needles red!
Cut away the clear plastic under the needle scrape off the orange paint on the under side of the needles then apply red paint to replace the orange. Apply 1 red led under the needle and paint the clear plastic only around the red led so it doesnt go in the rest...
There is another option or loophole.
Register it as a track only car show the slips etc proof it was on the track.
Then after it gets dismissed at court re-register it for the street?
Another option register out of state or in the city of blyth to get around smog
Put a U.S. 2JZ-GTE bottom...
Sounds like a good plan!
I wouldnt charge you no more then like $50-60 to solder together a little jumper harness to go between the 1JZ harness to your 240.
Im in the business of helping community guys out not taken advantage of anyone here.
Sorry I could not be of service to you though I...
Get your engine setup right
Chaser + OEM uncut Harness & ECU (any 1JZ as long as the harness matches the ECU)
Simply building a jumper harness will allow you to supply power to your ECU ignitor injectors etc. then allow your gauges to read the sensors.
There is Chaser schematics out there...
Just keep the factory harness with both the 1JZ & 240 body side and build a jumper harness to go between the two all you have to do from tere is make sure the ECU ends up in a safe / dry location.
The jumper harness would have the the KA efi body plugs soldered to the 1Z body connectors so...
I say go for it if you ind the engine is in good shape, tell him your a little short get him to knock it down by maybe 1 bill (~700) seems a littlebit more fair of a price.
Buy a stinger ECU with pigtail harness instead of the one with the adapter wire it into the harness at the cut points on...
Also you will need all the sensors for the car it came out of for example the fuel sender works different reads different and haves three wires for it vs 1 or 2.
Why not swap a cooler looking gauge set like MKIV with 10krpm or IS300 crono gauge set etc.. even the aftermarket clusters like Stack...
Ok your setup makes sense now
You have these things tunning your EFI system
1 OEM JZ ECU +
1 VX piggy back Tech Tom ROM board tunned by stealth+
1 Apexi Neo piggy back analog sensor tunning+
1 avc-r
It must be a cluster of signals mixing & stepping sensor readings to get your car...
from ... http://www.technosquareinc.com/rom.htm

They are all the same Mines/Sard/Stealth/Blitz
They all use the Tech Tom piggy back card and only they know what the ECU is programed for what kind of fuel what kind of injectors etc...
Ask Tech Tom to read the eprom off the daughter and while your at it get a price quote for programing it to...
That is an untrue statement and needs to be corrected!
If you keep the hydrofan or fan shroud of the JZA70 then no modification is needed because it is designed for the JZA70.
I know because everything lines up and fits perfect in my car.
You should also note that if you go with anything...
Your w-58 will hold up fine for a 7M-GTE
stock hp and tq no problem.
There is upgrades for it like streight cut gears
or use the JZ w-58.
When you build up to/pass 300-350whp start to worry for the stock w-58.
In the mean time enjoy your smoother crisper shifts.
What inspired the work, or theme?
I know some people will select like south park, japaneese anime etc..
Its good but kind of like a trip?
Where did you find the shrooms?
I find this one to be my personal favorite

For the sensor and logger get this..
For the meter get this
http://www.innovatemotorsports.com/products/MTS.php
I would say maybe AEM ties with it or a close second to these products.
If you want < 600hp & a good reliable engine, why decide a 2jz is a bad choice?
A low mileage 2jz-ge could be found be found for ~200 NA-T a bolt on NA-T solution puts you in the safe reliable hp goal your looking for.
I sold my JZ OEM motor mounts on ebay for ~60 around what they go for...
