Darn you beat me to it.
The tach on both 7m, 1j, 2j runs off the ignitor and sends a health feed back signal to the oem ECU you do not need your OEM ecu with a stand alone ECU.
There is exceptions though automatic cars with ECT built into the ECU, but you can bypass this by using a car ECT...
Best idea I have heard!
Single plate clutches suck in high HP &TQ
They are on or off not slipped especially the lower the puck.
To make the single clamp hard enough not to slip just punching it you have to upgrade the spring force just to hold useually this amount of force on a single causes...
OS Giken & Tilton FTW.
By the time you crank the pressure up on the pressure plate (#1 cause of common crank walk in the JZ) and get a 3-4 puck (not street drivable) Then have an OEM single plate explode and take your legs out. You will realize how you would have been better with a tilton or os...
According with MKIV TRSM if you look at the cluster
yellow is +12vdc
red is instrument cluster ground
blue/red goes to the odometer chip where it will read the speed sensor signal then convert it to an output the normal computers read at the pink wire this goes to ABS ECT ECU PPS Cruise...
I dont see how this could get so messed up.
4.1 torsen is JDM and they shatter under load shock you could call them a glass diff.
In US models
86.5-89.5 they are 3.9
89.5-92 they are the much taller 3.7
NA models also had an optional LSD 4.3
So if it had front headlight squirters it...
Could you specify which case didnt work for you?
You mean the -10 wont work from pump to reservoir,
or -10 doesnt work from cooler to reservoir/ from pinion to pump.
It looks like -10 will work from the reservoir to the pump inlet!
It looks like its all flanged for a rubber hose though but...
Hey I found the answer
It is hall effect or optic sensor..
It is speed sensor #1
Yellow wire is +12 VDC (goes to 10A Gauge fuse)
Red wire is ground (goes to gauge cluster ground)
Blue/Red is the digital pulse output (goes to speedo, ect, cruise, PPS, AC Amp etc this is the wire you use to...
The 1992 is not really worth more in my opinion.
There was only a couple minor variables, Exterior/Interior colors speaker pods sun roof.
The only way your car would be rare as a supra for a 1992 is if it came with options that were only released for that years such as shadow grey interior...
You will know more then them how many of them work on a soarer R154 in the US?
VRT Variable Reluctance Transducers AKA Reluctor sensors have 2 wires
One wire is ground the other is a signal wire. Generates a sign wave when the trigger passes.
In rare casses some have 3 wires if it is...
There is a difference in sensors
I am not sure of your ECU input types.
But,
3 wire sensors are HALL effect sensors
2 wire sensors are Reluctor sensors
You might need to use the two wire types?
Someone to confirm this for this ECU & tranny maybe of a better help
2 speed sensors on a supra
1 in the tach mechanical to ecu signal there.
1 in the trans for ABS(Man & Auto) & ECT computer (automatics)
The ECT can run off of one only if it looses one of them.
Soarers use 100% electronic speedos, intstead of 50/50 for the gauge (mechanical) &...
I would try and just switch the cluster to make sure the gauge works they are cheap to get.
There is a lot of diffrences by years so its a little hard to pinpoint what you have but i would try and get a cluster out of around the same year car
Ok I have an idea what they did.
The left the ECU in the engine bay so they wouldnt hack your OEM ecu harness I hope they protected it from heat and moisture BMW puts there ecus in the engine bay and it works fine.
The body connector must be the old 7mgte EFI harness cut off at about 2feet in...
The check engine can be tested with a test light B+ to the service connector on the manifold.
Are you asking what pin on the body plugs ? and the pin on the ECU or what?
Coilovers let you change hight but you want the softest ones you could get for drag racing disconnect sway bars & use no bigger then a 15" rear infact just get the smallest rim that will fit around your rear brakes.
To need drag slicks in the setup your mentioning do you loose traction on the...
The instructions tell you how to hook it up best the closer to the turbo compressor housing the better also you want the wastegate in an configuration so the exhaust pushes on it directly a 90 degree or shaper bend is less efficient.
Yes its the same thread as the switch in 1jz the hose is just an extension.
You can also buy the union bolt from toyota for about ~20 and replace the one in the oil cooler and screw it into the top of the union bolt in the oil cooler directly!
The union bolt is off a 2JZ-GE there is two of the...
