Do you think a toyo dealer would know?
You will know more then them how many of them work on a soarer R154 in the US?
VRT Variable Reluctance Transducers AKA Reluctor sensors have 2 wires
One wire is ground the other is a signal wire. Generates a sign wave when the trigger passes.
In rare casses some have 3 wires if it is shielded to keep EMI out --> 1JZ CAM CRANK sensors for example have shields on them tranny sensors usually wont.
Digital Hall Effect & Optical Sensor are different all together.
Because they need a power supply to generate a signal
These sensors always have 3 or more wires in rare cases 4 or more depending on additional grounds and shielding.
The three wire minimum is because,
One wire is ground the other is VCC positive supply and one is a signal output.
What I recommend is get your car running first.
The while your car is moving or on a dyno tap the signal with a meter & scope
you will find a steady 5 or 12 volt DC for sure with the meter on a hall effect and you could get your reading per mph from the sensor output to set up with your ECU like pulse with sign wave rpm per mph etc and set up the selectivity and sensitivity.
