Does anyone here run CCWs on their MK3? I'm intrigued to know what the widest we can fit on the rear. I'm thinking 11.5inch rear and 10inch front. I've done some searches for CCW in the search engine but nothing comes up.
Just a quick question, not technical discussion. I'm piecing together an oil cooler kit with remote filter and need to confirm what thread i need to get for 1JZ GTE (i know 7M, 1JZ, 2JZ all take the same filter so the thread is therefore the same).
I am pretty sure its 3/4-16 inch, can...
Sloppy steering is something that really bothers me about my Supra too. particularly because I take the car to the track. My steering rack was rebuilt recently (under previous owner) and the PS feels extremely light at low speeds (not sure if its PPS or not) but the steering response is shocking...
the effect depends on the type of race track you are at, the one i'm at has two high speed turns. also your 100 mph figure is exaggerated. anyhow, i dont want to spark a technical debate, just looking for a photoshop if someone can help me out :)
I would probably remove the side pieces as well I think, otherwise it looks a bit weird. might have to get some bungs and paint them to fill in the holes left from that. I dont have any rear interior so removing those side pods only takes a few minutes. but yeah, nothing worse than a car driving...
factory 3 piece looks fantastic, but offers next to no downforce. it ain't rice if its functional ;). seriously though, I want this for track use and don't plan on drilling ugly holes, rather making up mounting brackets to utilise the factory spoiler holes so that this can come off with ease...
just looking for someone to chop the wing off this black JZA80 onto my JZA70 if possible please. Pic of my car is a little further away but angle is similar enough I hope.
and my car
greatly appreciated!
neat instal on the hydraulic handbrake. are you using the car for drift as well or is the handbrake just for street use? kudos if you drive this thing on the street :evil2:
Ah yes of course it would be shorter. I am using whiteline adjustable swaybars and have some BIC performance adjustable links. It's only really the rear tabs which need re-enforcement and I have some pre-fab'd tabs here for that very purpose :)
just bringing this topic back to life, when you lower the car, dont you need a longer end link than stock to keep the ends of the sway bar parallel to the ground? (hence the need for adjustable links?)
thanks for the info josbeat. I have the Arizona Performance Wilwod 4 pot kit at the front of my car (which is similar to your precision kit I guess but 13" rotors). I'm actually looking into some brake pads for the track at the moment and was looking at Performance Friction PFC-06. Which PF...
I have the telescopic column fully extended at the moment but it still could probably come closer. the problem is that with my helmet on at the track, my head fouls on the roof of the car where it dips in towards the top of the windscreen - not the most comfortable driving position to have to...
thanks Andrew, do you remember how much you paid for it? can get boss kits from Japan for around 70 bucks I believe but this one you've got sounds good as I was actually wanting to move the steering wheel a bit closer to my chest for the track.
hey Andrew, what do you mean when you say collapsable? Certainly dont need any horn buttons but do need self cancelling indicators as my current one doesnt do that and its annoying as hell! I think a80 supra and 90 and 100 chasers also fit supras. Might have to pop into revolution racegear and...
awesome build mate! very inspiring. Just out of interest, does it actually weigh 1300kg or is this an estimate? What sort of motorsport/competition are you participating in? Also, I didnt realise that bolt-in roll cages could be FIA approved! keep up the good work, i'm sure there aren't many...
