You want your sway bars to be parallel with the lower control arm roughly. Since the car is lower than factory you'll need a shorter end link. I don't know what the stiffness of the ST sway bars is but your spring rates are probably too soft. Generally softer spring rate = stiffer sway bars but...
My car has had the sqaure emblem shaved and the indentation has been filled flush and painted. It was done by the previous owner, looks kinda cool but if you look closely, you can still see the indentation slightly as bondo always shrinks a little over time. I have always preferred the updated...
Talking about room between tire and shock + any other suspension components that might get in the way at the front there when the wheels are turned at full lock.
Cheers
Pics would be great. I'm more concerned about in net clearance as I am familiar with how certain widths and offsets will clear on the outside with my current set up. With 10 +25 in the rear you should still have plenty of room on the inside at the rear yeah? I'm not sure about the front though...
thanks for posting mate, car is looking really good! Have you done much work to the fenders front and rear? looks like you've pumped the fronts a little but its hard to see in the pic. How does the front clear on the inside? It doesnt foul on the sway bar at full lock or anything? I want to run...
They look better without the center caps IMO, I think you'll find the CCW are still close to the 20 lb mark too though but we are talking about wide wheels, they are always going to be heavier. With the tires, the car goes on the road course so im not as concerned about grip in a straight line...
If the offset is correct with 11inch I should be able to run a 305/30 and have it sit pretty close to flush. My front and rear fenders are already pulled as my current set up is aggressive 10 +22 in the rear and 9 +15 in front, but I want to move away from that as I am limited by the amount of...
460 a set as in for four wheels!? That has to be a typo...
Unfortunately I do want something lighter, my current wheels are agressive cheaper cast wheels of similar calibre but I want something that I can run more tyre with without fenders rubbing so the CCW is a good option, not many mk3...
thanks for the info! are XXR an american company? I will google them when I get a chance. Do they have choices of widths? those specs above sound like GTR fitment (which is what I thought when I first looked at the pics. Id love to know more about tire sizes and options for widths and offsets...
is the owner on this forum? I was browsing google images and this appeared in a link. the car looks f***ing amazing and I wanted to ask the owner particularly about the wheels...
cheers
the factory toyota coils are actually an exceptional stock component. many people have made extremely high horsepower reliably with factory coils (700 hp+). after 20 years of heat exposure, somethings gotta give. like somebody said, new replacements arent going to die in 1 or 2 or even 10 years...
if you look closely, you'll realize that almost every high volume manufacturer (including toyota) produces interchangeable parts that will work on a number of different models. hate to break it to ya, but the Supra falls under "high volume".
I personally would love to retro-fit a MK4 steering...
I have always run 40 up front and 35 in the rear but havent done the calculations in a while, I guess if you are over-tiring the rim, then going with a lesser profile makes sense. 275/35 for the rear nick, it's as close as you will get to what is available.
10+25 will not need a massive roll. It will fit easily with a simple roll and you'll probably get away with a 285/35 Nick. I wouldnt run much more than a 275 on a 10 though, 285 will bulge too much. I would go 275/35 rear and 275/40 front if you have 10s all round.
also, the plastic links are a major PITA to remove once the allen key fastener seizes. i had to grind one off when i swapped over to whiteline bars. i have some BIC links with tabs here ready to go in. Begs my next question for randy, what torque setting to you recommend for the teflon links...
Thanks for the pics, your setup is nice! Probably more camber than I would want to run on the rear because mine is a track set up but a little bit is good for cornering. How much camber are you running back there? Also what are your front wheel and tyre specs if you don't mind me asking?
What...
What wheels are they? Have you got any pics? I guess by super tight you are referring to the inner clearance...does it rub on any suspension components at all? If I was going to go that wide I'd like to run at least a 305 or 315, is your 295 stretched on the 11.5? Definitately in for pics if you...
