jay,whats this welding a 2j and 1j waterneck together?are you talking about the little extension pipe from water pump housing to waterneck?
the 2jz waterneck hangs down a little more(not much)but has a different thread size on one of the sensor's.i would weld 2 of the little pipe's together and...

junk yard near me crushed a 90 with alot of good parts still on it.i wanted to pull the mint 3pc tail light's ,but was too late.
i have an 87 in my backyard that might suffer the same.i might have fun driving it to the yard burning off the rear tire;).the car is worth more for it's weight in steel.
i used the eastwood brand 2 part converter.then i used there encapsulator and a top coat of there chassis black on my subframe's.it seems like pretty hard stuff after curing.i would have rather powdercoated the frame's but i don't have lamps big enough to bake them.

what do you think the reason behind the slight difference in the aluminum part is,got any theory's.i never compared the 1j and 2j grenade side by side.the oil pump housing's...
sound performance made up a run of these for a group buy.you can find them every now and then if the mkIV for sale section.you'll be shocked when you compare the two.
i haven't changed just the bearing in a 1j/2j idler(which are identical),but have in other motor's.i don't think to many people get new one's.i however got myself a billet tensioner to replace the factory piece that has been said to break at higher hp level's
idle control valve doesn't have any vacume line's going to it,just coolant.it does have a big hose that connect's to the accordian hose via a metal pipe.

i did cut the traction control stuff off,but had someone else weld it.
jag i powder coat all my parts.i like how fast it's ready to be handeled.you don't have to worrie to much about temperture and humidity.you can see some of my stuff in this thread.i do...
i hear ya.i just hate when aluminum get's all oxidation on it.i do my own powdercoating at home,so it only racks up the electric bill;)
the stealth look will be good i'm sure.i've seen a couple on the forumns before,but can't remember who's.beside sir IJ that is
i did my lower black,it's called mirror black though.i never tried the other black's i have,but i do want to try the wrinkle black.
i did my upper silver though.it's alot easier to care for then polished.i do use car wax on it occasionaly
i have a blitz lm jza70 kit.the core is a 23 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 4.the piping is nice and thick,but route's the same as your stock jza70 piping.this causes a problem if you want to run a fat radiator with e-fan's(not sure about hydro though).no need to relocate the battery with it and can use stock...
