    found my leak!! bhg :(

Quick question. Did you machine the rear timing cover when you machined the block? If not, that could be what caused it.

    How does the coolant reservoir

^^ That's exactly what happens. Expansion when hot, vacuum when cooling.

The Supra passed inspection for the first time since 2001!!!

Just changing the tranny fluid is not enough. When you drop the pan, you will only get out about 4 quarts of fluid. A tranny flush will replace all the fluid, and does a good job of cleaning the filter. Costs about 140.00, but it's worth it. I haven't actually looked up the fluid requirements of...

    Methanol/water injection pre-turbo

Dope! I didn't say it should be 50/50/ I said closer to 50/50 as opposed to 20 percent in the post I replied to.

    pulled afm plug..and nothing!!!!!!

Quite possible! A few mentions have been made in regard to that as well on this forum.

    pulled afm plug..and nothing!!!!!!

It's the running fine portion of this that makes me think of the plug. It's a known issue with these cars, and I can't think of anything else that would give the off, on, off type of thing we have here.

    Running on 4 cylinders?

As you should. Always explore all possibilities, that way you'll be sure. I was mostly just yelling at hvyman.:icon_bigg

    pulled afm plug..and nothing!!!!!!

Just trying to nail it down to something, and what you described doesn't seem vac related is all I'm saying.

    Pulls to the right...

Have to point out something. Toe is not responsible for pulling. If it's toe out, it will dart from side to side, if it's toe in, it will drift from side to side. A constant pull to one side, is caused by camber, or caster, at least as it pertains to alignment, as opposed to some type of...

    Running on 4 cylinders?

Ahem, read the post. He says that he has spark going to all six cylinders. If there's enough coolant getting into the cylinders, it won't fire. That is why pulling the plug wire, or injector wire will not change anything. As I said, it happened to me. Blown head gasket, same exact symptoms. Ran...

Super quick question- I'm timing the response!

Never guess! IJ, and jdub will have a conniption!:biglaugh:

    Running on 4 cylinders?

Hate to be the bearer of bad tidings, but, 5 and 6 are usually where the head gasket blows. The same thing happened to me when mine went.

Super quick question- I'm timing the response!

Yes, 24 IIRC! I was gonna respond to this about 10 minutes ago, so you should adjust the result accordingly.

    pulled afm plug..and nothing!!!!!!

Grim, check the OP. he had it running fine after reinserting the AFM plug, and then removed and reinserted the plug and it ran like shit again. Seems more plug related than vac related, maybe?

    Methanol/water injection pre-turbo

Sounds plausible, but the OP was about cooling the intake charge, so I'm trying to stick to that line of thought.

    Methanol/water injection pre-turbo

Meth or alcohol both evaporate faster than water, which would increase cooling efficiency. A closer to 50/50 mix is more desirable, as cooling the intake charge is the goal of all this.

    Reverse lights wont turn on

Did you check the bulbs? Just saying, you know. If the taillight sensor was bypassed, the warning light won't come on, to tell you the bulbs are bad.

    Name that part!

What the hell are you defending yourself for? For being right? :aigo:

When the car runs for awhile it will not start for 30 minutes

First thing that comes to mind, is the ignitor. Have you checked that? Heat could be effecting it, maybe. It's the only thing I can think of that would cut spark to all cylinders at once. Or maybe the wiring from the ignitor to the coil pack.

It could be, time will tell. Your still better off having retorqued it, than not.
