Don't worry, I'm not trying to hassle you, just pointing out what looks to be the weakest link so you know where to start. Are you still running the mechanical fan? That will give you a lot of headroom, the mechanical fan seems to pull a lot more air than anything else out there. What are you...

    Power Window Problems PLEASE HELP

One more common item that should get mentioned here... the window lock on the driver side will stop the passenger window from going up and down. Make sure it's not in the locked position. Tends to make folks feel rather silly when that's the root of their problem... don't ask how I know that. :D

Why the SAFC in a car running a standalone? I've torn apart a bunch of these engines, and I've never seen the rings go before the ringlands on the pistons. Here's to hoping you're the first! The blocks are so tough that it takes a lot of miles to show any damage to the cylinders after the...

    7mgte vs hks t04z rx7

Standalone is virtually always a better choice than a piggyback. Any good tuner can street tune it, however, it's going to take a lot longer and cost a lot more than putting it on a dyno where they can dial in each cell easily. I don't know any places that build engines in Florida... that's...

Oh, and my latest timeslip... left lane, mods are 5 speed, slicks, dbb 67mm turbo, 890cc injectors, water meth, Vipec v88, and a bunch of other stuff that won't fit on one line anyway. This was holy shit scary IMO... basically in one night I went from a fastest run of 14 flat to a mid 11... in...

Ok, I've gone through and gotten everyone ... I think. If I've missed you, post again and I'll check in a day or so. I blame the eye Dr., he put drops in my eyes that dilated my pupils to the point that looking at a guttering candle through a sooty piece of glass is painfully bright, and...

Oddly, this doesn't seem to help. Randy recently swapped from... 373 to 411, as I recall, and his car got slower in the 1/4. Not sure why, but that's what happened.

    Supra engine in a civic?

Keep in mind that the Corvette V8 is a shitload shorter than any of the Supra engines. The firewall would have to move by likely a foot to let you mount an inline 6.

    Recalibrating stock guages

    1. Slap 'friend'. 2. Lather 3. Rinse 4. Repeat Borrow or rent a timing gun that reads RPM. Run engine, read RPM from timing gun, mess with needle until it matches. Drive behind a buddy's car at an agreed speed. Mess with speedo needle until it matches speed. Please do not mess with the...

    7mgte vs hks t04z rx7

4 car lengths is a LOT. To beat that, you'll need to shave off *more* than 4 car lengths. A 50 shot isn't going to cut it. Hell, a 100 shot probably wouldn't either. The danger is inside the engine - do you have a built motor to lean on? If not, you're going to need one - if you want it to...

Good place... has the link to Will's power / build article, too. This place is more up to date, though: http://gtepowered.com/ Another idea is to pop over into the racing section, check the stickies for the list of times, and then search for build threads by the various members listed there.

    Supra engine in a civic?

Anything is possible with enough money and time. It would be extremely difficult to accomplish - adapting the Civic to rear wheel drive would entail a whole lot of work, and adapting the engine to work in a front wheel drive chassis might be even more work - I'm not sure a civic engine bay is...

Okay- how did I make this happen? BOV won't open

Those lines tend to fill with ugly oil residue over time... probably worthwhile pulling them off from where they enter the manifold on the front, cleaning them out and putting them back on.
