Have a look at how mine is run... Now that's twin 3 inch pipes, but I don't see why it can't be done with smaller pipe. One 3 inch pipe is 7.1 in2. Two x 2 inch pipes is 6.6 in2. Two x 2.5 inch pipes is 9.8 in2. So 2" pipes would be a small restriction, 2.5 inch pipes would be none at all.

Agreed. Now I'm no professional tuner, but I wouldn't take any forced induction engine near 13:1. My current car is still running 10:1, my 7M was 11.2:1 - anything more than that, you're risking thousands of $$$ in engine parts for a few extra ponies.
