Most snow accidents are slow speed... especially when you're talking about a sports car. It's rare that someone has the talent to get up to a speed where it's dangerous to anything more than their body panels without traction. Personally, I'd probably buy my kid something considerably more...

Technically true... however, the Honda engine has a lot more power parts available off the shelf. A fair bit more than we have for the Supra engines, for that matter - not as nice of a selection as the domestic V8s, mind you.
