Just remember that your A/F ratio must change along with the amount of gas and ethanol you have in your tank...IMO dont fuck around, if you want to use ethanol get it tuned on ethanol and be done with it. I would recommend just using higher octane gasoline personally (I only go to shell...
I will probably give this a try so I don't have to go across the entire dash to the harness, and then go back across the engine bay to the Intake Mani for the boost Gauge.
if you ever get tired of the MK3 you could always try to go to an MK4 :)
Once Im out of college I will have both sitting in my garage, a super red 5spd turbo and a RR 6spd turbo
But I really have yet to have a day that i dislike owning this car. It has been dead nuts reliable, has done...
Ok that sounds good. I may or may not even do it. I just have heard that people have had there head bolts become so loose after time that they can turn them by hand (if not torqued to the right spec) and I want to double check the torque and try to prevent that.
I was thinking of checking what my cars HG was torqued too. My head gasket was replaced by toyota during the last owners ownership (2004/2005). I was thinking of checking the torque value but was wondering what I should put it too (I hope they knew that they had to be tightened more than the...
If you drive your car at all aggressively i would highly recommend a DOT4 or DOT5.1(non silicone based ultra high temp fluid). A cheap and good DOT4 fluid is Valvoline Synpower fluid. Dry Boiling point of 502 F and wet boiling of 333 F. Its good stuff for 3$ a pint.
Maybe this is incorrect thinking but his catch can is getting oil from the Crankcase ventilation correct? I would think if the catch can has water in it, it is inevitable that his oil has water in it.
maybe it wouldn't though. I would just recomend the OP is very careful driving this car...

you definitely are one of the few that really know whats really going on, but if the turbo is not the cause, he really shouldn't drive the car with water in the oil. just my opinion.
You have the car that blew water all over at the SP dyno day right? was that the first time this all occured? Or were you trying to dyno a car that had all these problems before hand? That day I thought the coolant looked awfully oilly. Hopefully you can pinpoint the problem.
also if you do...
I like to have less camber in the rear to try and keep the tires more square with the road back there (for accelerative traction). More camber (to a point at least) in the front also helps with turn and over all grip as well.
I will be trying the following setup with my car.
Front
camber - -1.5
Caster - max that both sides match
Toe - 0
Rear
Camber - -1.0
Toe - 0
Wiisass - Have you found that a little toe out causes the car to be darty on the highway? I really would like to try the toe out in front but dont want...
