I really wanted to paint it.. I had all the time in the world but I just saw a light at the end of the tunnel and went for it. I guess I'll have to wait until I blow this bad boy ;)

1)The 2JZGE is very similar to the 7MGE, I think your "shop guy" could handle it if he has any automotive experience at all.
2)2JZGE = $650 shipped.. thats what I payed and thats a little expensive for one, it comes out of so many vehicles...
I've read that unsprung clutches are hard on trannies, but it was my understanding this was reffering to long term effects. How exactly did it break? (sorry if you posted this, i didn't see it).

Dang, I hope my clutch isn't glazed over.. that would suck. I don't want to have to replace it again. So once it's glazed, thats it? There is no going back? Is there any way to tell while I'm still in the breakin period? I know flooring it would tell me verryy quickly LOL, but I'm not about to...

My windows are also fully functional. My key is all the way to the off possition, and I cannot remove the key while the cars running/start the car with my fingernail.
