Because it is rare. and they are slightly longer i think so it will fit in the SC300 for people wanting to put the r154 in.

we tried to see if we could swap the tail housing with an r154 laying around the shop and it wouldnt fit for several reasons. one, the shaft has two bearings where the ma70 has bushings. we looked at the gears which are much beefier than the a70 r154 and im sure there are other reasons too.
at anyrate, it dosnt look like its possible to use this in an a70 body without actual body modification so for sale it goes!
anyone know if this particular 1jz motor has any differences than the one that came in the a70 body?

I would put it on clublexus or eBay Lagged. There aren't enough SC300 guys here. I was looking at selling the Surpa and getting a SC300 earlier this year. That is when I was researching the 5 speed options with that car. These things are really hard to find and hold gobs more power than the w58 that was offered in the US. The lack of a good tranny is why I stayed with the Supra.
