New turbo is finally here... (pics)

I'm glad to see more than an upgraded CT-26 on this beauty. Hopefully you won't have problems with the boost creep as some people do with the turbonetics exhaust housings.

Just wanted to update.. I'm still breaking in the clutch. MY GOD THIS IS THE MOST PAINFUL THING EVAR. It's taking foreverrrrrrr. I fixed a gas line leak I found and now the car gets pretty dang good gas mileage (as opposed to before, but not quite as good as the 26 MPG I was getting with the...

stumped on what to take off next.

..why would you put 7MGTE injectors in if your ECU is expecting to see 7MGE injectors? Do you have an airflow convertor to scale the difference?

stumped on what to take off next.

Yea, I do too but I think they're too big.. they may be like 320's or something, they'd work in a crunch but he might already have some. Plus he'd have to do some more wiring because they're high imp and pre-89 7MGE's ran low imp I believe.

stumped on what to take off next.

He is running it off a 7MGE ECU, and the P.O put in huge injectors for some reason. He doesn't know what size injectors they put in but replacing them with the 7MGE injectors means he doesn't have to hook up an SAF-C or similar device to scale to fuel, as the ECU will be expecting to see ~295cc...

stumped on what to take off next.

To easily get to the injectors you will have to take off the upper plenum, this will be easy to take off with the Y pipe as long as your get the two bolts on the exhaust side of the head, which mount it, and get all the vac. lines and plugs disconnected

    DSM Fans

I run the DSM fans, they move a lot of air.. but you'll need something to control them with (IE: temp switch/relay; thermostat control unit; standalone/relay).

    Questions about smoke.

It doesn't sound like a blown headgasket to me, it sounds like a blown turbo.. or something causing you to burn oil. The powersteering leak will not cause smoke. Sounds like you have a water/oil leak somewhere in your engine bay, keep an eye on that and try to see where it's comming...
